Just realized that bridge is the same from the reveal trailer? And the container part is inside the ship!

wow.. really intrigued by the story in this game.

I don't think it looks that great visually, based on that short amount of footage, but I still really like the game's concept, and I'm excited to see more.

We need new footage of the screaming woman to see how it compares to the E3 footage.

I think it'll hold up relatively well, the glimpses of footage in the trailer look on par with that footage in my opinion.

What exactly is not on the same level of the reveal?

Lighting, anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, chromatic aberration up the wazoo.

I dunno, just not that impressed compared to the original footage. Can't make any comments about the gameplay yet.

Even though I'm disappointed that it didn't made a 2014 release I'm very excited and will get it on Day One! I loved and played the crap out of Max Payne 1 and 2 as well as Alan Wake. QB looks incredible so far, can't wait to play it!

I think QB looks stunning and easily a generational leap over anything on the last gen consoles.

Why does me thinking that make me a fanboy or delusional?

I'd also argue 1886 is several leaps ahead of anything we saw last gen too, it's probably the most visually stunning game I've seen to date and that includes any and everything on PC.

Think you misinterpreted what I said (partly my fault with the poor wording, sorry about that). I'm talking about the best-looking XB1 and PS4 games.

And yes, QB looks leaps better than anything 360/PS3. It looks amazing to me.

Anti aliasing was not that perfect on the trailer too. Perhaps you are comparing against the super sampled screenshots?

Here's the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E087GDdXYl4

I can spot many places where there's aliasing and artifacts from lower res buffers.

Character models/shaders look about the same of what we are seeing here.

The lighting in this trailer is awesome, tons of volumetric dynamic lights, I really don't see what looks worse in that regard compared to the reveal.

CA is technically an deliberately effect and costs more to have it than not, so while you might not enjoy that they added it, it's not an downgrade.

AF I really can't they from the reveal trailer because there's ton of depth of field there...

Well that's a bummer, unless I can find a good X1 deal on Black Friday, I'll probably just wait till 2015. This and the Order were the two big exclusives I was looking forward to this year, hopefully at least Nintendo delivers on theirs (Bayonetta 2). Have they talked about what resolution the game will be at?

I thought it looked like it took a bit of a hit, but I've only seen the youtube version. I wouldn't be surprised at a further downgrade though.

Wow, I think I'm going to have to get an Xbone by the time this come out. It looks amazing. Got huge Uncharted vibes from the gameplay, but with fucking awesome time powers thrown in.

I still think the whole tv show nonsense is unnecessary, but I can't hate on it until we see more about it. My problem with the idea of it is just that I'm very selective about what I watch these days, and I know this is not going to be as good as Mad Men/Breaking Bad so I don't even want to bother. I'd rather just play the game.

What was Quantum Break's official release date? I may have missed it then.

.

Basically the same as with The Order : 1886 never firmly confirmed but was officially implied as 2014 releases.

Well Max is running so it's hard to say how it will compare under the same conditions. Also thick leather doesn't necessarily behave that way, especially if you're just walking and not swinging your shoulders. Great looking tech btw, but flawed comparison., we need more QB footage.

What if the leather jacket is also frozen in time? OMG

the TV show can be skipped and watched later. If all you want to do is play the game you can.

I wasnt all that interested in the TV show but now that theyve revealed its the antagonist's story while you play the protagonist in the game it makes it alot more interesting.

Is he a vampire or something? Keeps shielding his face when there's some bright light :p

If he stares directly into a bright light he probably gets a flashback to 'the Lab' and it makes him do an epileptic time-jump. Or he thinks he's one of the Taken, and it scares him.

Or Alan Wake used to bully him with a torch back in college.

Sounds good then. I assumed after a certain point you would have to watch an episode of the show before being able to progress again.

Hopefully they give the game the polish it deserves instead of donating more resources to the tv show.

The CA is really horrible. The gameplay clip looks okay, I expected more visually, Alan Wake, if not for the dog shit resolution, would have been the best looking 360 game.

Very surprised to hear it won't be at E3 though, MS must have some incredible shit not to be showing this.

Visually, it looks great, but certainly not at the level of the sequence they showed early one (in-engine, certainly).

Microsoft are handling the bulk of the tv show, not Remedy.

If these graphics are truly indicative of the final released game, then I will have to say it matches The Order in my opinion. A big if though, after witnessing so many games not living up to early showings. Also, will the game maintain a solid fps with this kind of visual fidelity? Will the resolution have to be comprised at the last stage like Watchdogs on ps4 (which was shown off in a higher resolution up until a few months before release)?
Holding off the 'this game beats x game visually' until release personally. Game play looks interesting in any case.

If these graphics are truly indicative of the final released game...

Please tell me you're not serious. People should curbe their enthusiasm, because come 2015 there will be a lot of disappointed gamers.
Can't wait year and a half from now to quote myself and this post saying " told ya so"!

So let me get this straight... not only are people already talking about downgrades in here but are also being sure to inform everybody that it definitely won't look like this when it releases?

Come the fuck on, this is the worst trend of the new generation.

I'll run naked through the offices of NeoGAF if this game looks anything like the previews... No way it will look like this..

Posts like this really puzzle me. When you have a game like Ryse right at launch i can't see hoe this is not doable on the X1. Its like some of you bought into the hyperbole of the X1 being "weak" so much anything that looks even halfway decent is accused of being fake. This is not a frigging WiiU, people.

DAT shit look too good mang.

I'm glad it's delayed. There's already too much stuff I'm looking forward to get later this year (including a PS4). Give them all the time they need to make it an awesome game.

To be fair, it's a safe thing to assume that there will be some downgrades, or perhaps a low resolution. If Remedy proves everyone wrong though then all the power to them, I'll gladly eat crow.

Calling out downgrades on games still a year away from release is the new way of earning hardcore gamer cred. Haven't you heard?

Resolution, maybe. I don't expect the game to be 1080p but that visual fidelity, 2 years after Ryse, seems believable to me. I really think both consoles are being vastly underestimated on this forum but that's another discussion.

A game without an previous release date has been delayed, and now got downgraded because the gameplay sections looks worse than cutscenes.

Wow, it won't be at e3? What the hell are they showing here.

They haven't actually said that. All that was mentioned in the video was that the first look at gameplay will be at gamescom. They could still easily show a cinematic/story trailer at E3, and I'll be somewhat surprised if they don't.

That'd still save a substantial chunk of conference time over having an on-stage demo, though.

As for quantum break it looks incredible, the amount of polygons and effects when time is frozen is breathtaking, the best visuals of next gen so far, and what the gameplay in frozen time and time powers entails has me intrigued.

No, it really does not. In fact, it looks comparable to Infamous SS, without the whole open world stuff going for it. The reveal was much more impressive...

I was about to post this. But yeah,I can see ms showing a trailer.

I need to see this demo now.

Jack starts off below the bridge

He fights his way up to the bridge.

Time shit happens.

Truck falls off bridge but gets stuck in time.

A Boat wrecks shit.

Jack has to run for his life.

Call of Duty is bound to show up at their show, probably showcasing the tech or a gameplay demo like the years before.

While I wouldn't be surprised if it did, I sure hope CoD is absent from MS's conference. That part is always such a bore; even the switch up with having BF4 on stage instead was better, but I'd rather see more new IP and/or MS exclusive titles.

Personally, I think Second Son looks better than this, and the Order is on a whole other level- but that's not a big deal. This game looks absolutely bananas in the mechanics, gameplay, and narrative aspect. A system seller.

I guess time will tell, but with it being a mostly linear action title, I doubt we'll see much of a downgrade. I'd be really surprised if there was any downgrade from the footage we have today.

It's possible the screaming woman in the final game won't match the E3 demo, but I think they'll get pretty damn close, if not match it with some minor tweaks to textures and possibly lighting.
