I just.....I can't even understand where Steve's head is at. Rohde and Yoshida confirmed the game is not cancelled - how on EARTH would it possibly be axed without either of them knowing? It's fucking ridiculous.

We don't typically ban sites as a punitive measure for posting a single foolish story, we ban sites as a preventative measure when it's clear the likelihood of them posting garbagey stories in the future is too high and that will result in too many terrible threads.

I think it's time Sony clarified what's going on with this game tomorrow during their conference. Even if they don't have anything substantial to show, they need to clarify just what in the world is happening with the game, and put all of this mockery and speculation to rest. A simple statement would do.

What I want to know is who exactly does Steve want a response from? You mostly get responses from random reps when you ask companies about rumors. Instead IGN has managed to get a direct response from the president of SCEWWS and the head of SCEWWS US, and that somehow isn't enough.

The fact they haven't said anything yet tells me they do plan on addressing it. If it's not part of the conference I don't understand why they are letting this fester.

As some people have pointed out - the context in which it was confirmed not to be cancelled seemed very positive - the fact that the game's cancellation was a source of laughter does suggest its possible we'll be hearing something soon, maybe even tomorrow?

2. One source (Internal)
3. Source is IGN Russia
4. Source is actually not an insider at all, it's SONY RUSSIA

They'll claim it's "not enough" regardless of who talks to them. They'll refuse to acknowledge that they passed off what is little more than a glorified GameFAQs rumor as legitimate "news" from "official sources" no matter what it takes.

Even if every single member of the team working on the game came out and said they're still working on it, IGN will still go "HMMM BUT IS THERE A SCOOP IN HERE SOMEWHERE?!!?!?!?"

IGN should of just kept the source hidden and took the backlash ffs. This just scream desperate and try to push the issue to Sony.

Edit: Oh and love that they tried to get some feedback from Sony on Saturday. A day they are off. So since Sony didnt get back to them, they posted the rumor as FACT because its better to get some hits then wait on monday to do it the proper way and get the right info straight from SCEA. *facepalm* IGN no matter how they spin this, makes them look like fools.
