Don't like Evergreen either? I've been liking it so far, and would watch an anime of it probably.
The
incest drama
was kind of the straw for me, though who knows, maybe the while thing won't be as awful as I'm anticipating. But I'm not holding my breath on that being the case.

You kinda need the world building and the introduction to each character. After all it's a post war feudal japan that got invaded by aliens . So many things are to be made clear and introduced.

while I don't disagree with this, they could have done it a lot better...
I mean hell the first episode is basically pointless.... it was a horrible introduction to the series as you didn't know the characters, but fine we get an idea of them there.... and then you have to sit through the next so many episodes as they slowly introduce characters with very boring plot lines until you finally get back to where the first episode was :/

outside of ga rei zero I can't think of a time I didn't hate when they had a first ep that was a bit into the series and then went back to the start :/

Is this the part where someone brings up One Piece?

while one piece also takes a bit to get going, it was at least doing small arcs right away to get us introduced to the characters while working on advancing the plot of getting luffy off to sea. I ended up watching the first 100 eps or so in one sitting when I finally started watching one piece, as it was interesting enough to keep me going and then actually started hitting good arcs.

Welp, guess I better starting watching it to know once and for all.
Gintama is a great show, but I wasn't even remotely interested in it until I was shown some episodes from much later on in the series. The initial episodes I watched weren't very good at all.

I don't even want to start the series because the description and character bios are boring me already. It's the same high school setting every single fucking time. Guess anime peaked with high school shows when Cromartie High was on.

Probably a decent comparator in terms of having to wade through a lot of... well, not shit, but not necessarily greatly appealing material in order to build a base of understand

or so I'm told since I've only watched 4 episode of gintama

yup I watched through episode three, and while it was a little uncomfortable to watch
more for the rape thing then the guy on guy thing
, I don't know how I would react if it was done in more detail, or done more frequently.

It isn't really high detail in the manga either. Basically just imagine that scene without the pink void over one character, don't really know why they did that. The other scenes aren't uncomfortable in that way either, which is good because I always hate that kind of thing.

No no no .
Let me correct you , the first three episodes are pointless.

And yeah it's a very horrible introduction. when i was watching the start of gintama i was trully bored.I'm pretty sure that if i start those episodes again i STILL will be bored.

Ps: Ga-rei zero first ep was a masterfull troll BTW

You should know it has some of the worst portrayals of queer characters I've ever seen in anime. While I love most of the show, it makes it hard to recommend to people.

I'm 87 episodes in, and that's something that definitely stood out. Unfortunate, since it's had a lot of great moments, both dramatic and comedic.

So far nothing's topped the snow festival episode for me, but I have a lot left to go!

How did you feel about the Benizakura Arc. And that fight towards the end of the arc.

that might be true, I just remember being really annoyed with the first episode.

Eh there's not many involving eps involving them, but the show has joking about female/male hostess too after all.. the show will also have actual prostitution place became one of central location, even play it into serious plot..

My favorite arc so far. It had a great villain with an interesting new power (reminded me a lot of Tetsuo in Akira), and some cool fight scenes (especially that last one). Really awesome stuff, hope to see more of it!

Neogaf has made me never want to purchase and play Bravely Default, and that's one of the games that originally got me to buy a 3ds.

I'm playing the ps2 version of Persona 4 right now, would i have to watch the original anime to get what is going on in the Golden one that is currently airing?

Just get bravely default. It's a steal, there's like 4 games of content in it.

You will with the later serious Arcs like Yoshihara arc. Can't wait to see your impressions of those.

The hosts and hostesses don't get constantly berated for being ugly/creepy or have slurs thrown at them by other characters though.

All this talk about Gintama and I stopped and episode 25. I even fell asleep during that episode (which is actually quite common when I watch anime at that time). I was like 60% through and there were no Death Note references. Is that not the Death Note episode? All I remember is a hot pot.

Should I try again?

On another note, Gurren Lagaan angers me. Why does Kamina get all the girls? SIMON should be the one getting them.

Persona 4 The Golden Animation - 03

Really wish the ED was sung by Hanazawa Kana instead. Oh well. Maybe the ED single release will have a version sung by her.

Also someone mentioned the Signs of Love remix that played during the episode and hoping it would be on the OST. If I'm not mistaken, that particular version is already on the "Never More - Reincarnation Persona 4-" album.

Edit: Ah, found the post. Hope this is what you were looking for, Cure.

Persona 4 The Golden Animation 03
I died at the Signs Of Love remix, hope that's included in the OST.

Hapiness Charge Precure - 18

That conversation was priceless

Bad guy "Ah ah ah I won't share , that way can have the whole cake for myself "
Cure lovely : " what ?"
BG : " You can't have the cake by yourself if there are many people"
CL : " Just share then ! It tastes better if you share it"
BG : "No! There's only a single cake !"

Happiness.Charge.Precure.18_02.jpg

Power of the cake !

Wait but there wasn't a cake in this wedding !
It was full of meat and rice lovers !
Splendid work here , HIME but your viewpoint can't understand that this wedding is already unusual from the start. OPEN YOUR MINDSET

Happiness.Charge.Precure.18_01.jpg

Nevermind then

I guess it's time to focus more on cure fortune, i hope i'll finally get her backstory..
THIS IS GONNA BE GOOD

The inner thoughts throughout the episode are a reference to the inner thoughts Light and L would always have, it even had the solid colour/black background like in the anime.

Yeah, it was pretty upsetting. Also upsetting was how even the central character of that story viewed themselves as an "other". I remember him saying something like "I tried to be that kid's mother, but I went too far and ended up like this". While the episode is sympathetic towards them, they're not really able to escape the "okama" stereotype because of how they're written.

You should get back to it because its really great, trust me. And that Death Note reference was shown on top of their roof where they live. I think it was in the beginning or end of the episode.

Now i've lost faith in animegaf for tonight

Falling asleep during the hotpot episode ?Really ?

I know Kamina is the better one (even if he does make stupid decisions) but the girls seem to prefer Simon at first and then Kamina comes in and is all like *manly speech and sunglasses*.

That is how it is like Death Note? I thought it would be less subtle. I can see it now though. Does it actually get better after 25?

I only watched to a little past the middle. If it is at the beginning I missed it.

I am tired when coming home from school. I have even fallen asleep during Hunter X Hunter.

You guys are getting trolled.

Maybe. Maybe not.
Watch more than 8 episodes.

How did you know I was on episode 8?... This is creepy.

Well, that's not even the worst part. It's whenever they appear in later episodes that it's really bad. The Four Devas arc in the early 200s, which is overall an amazing arc, was kinda ruined for me because of that stuff.

There's also the first two episodes after the break in the show that really make me hate Shinpachi.

It does get consistently better but I think it had already started hitting a few highs at that point.

Oh, so it gets worse later on? That sucks, though I won't be reaching those episodes for a while. I'll be taking a break from it to watch some other things after I complete the original 201 episode run.

Brah keep on watching you haven't even reached the Benizakura arc in Gintama yet.

That's like 30 hours 0_o

I keep forgetting that I've only watched 30 episodes of Gintama. I should get back to that one soon.

To me, the show's funny. Not exactly AMAZING from what I've seen, but still pretty darn funny.

If I had to pick my favourite episode out of the 30 that I saw, it would have to be the Senpuki episode. That one definitely got the most laughs out of me.

You have to reach to episode 58 because that's the start of the Benizakura arc. And man do I tell you that arc is splendid. Them feels.

Revolutionary Girl Utena 29-39 [END]

Hm. This series started out as a thoroughly enjoyable high school anime, then got weird to the point where it delved into "Evangelion for girls" territory, then got a bit less weird at the end. I really like the series overall, now I just need to watch the Utena movie before I move onto a new show.

And no, it will not be School Days.
