I'm serious when I say that I won't stand to see same sex romance shut out again. Atlus better deliver.

Really digging the protagonist. I'm glad they went with a totally different design from P3/P4 that's still distinctive.

For those who think he looks plain, did you ever play Persona 4? The MC looked much more mundane in that game. The whole point of these MC designs is that they're supposed to be generic enough that any player can see himself as the character.

Best part of the conference for me! I was getting worried that I would have to pull out my fat 60gb PS3 for this and miss out on playing in bed like I did P4G. Now I can play on the big screen and remote play. Soo good.

I must admit, my first reaction to this MC was; "hmm, he looks a bit girly".

Wouldn't be at all surprised if Persona Team is just playing with surface expectations and he's just Clark Kent to Superman.

I'm still clinging to the hope, that we have multiple MC's.

The new MC just looks like he's really clumsy, gives him way more charm than the swagger Yu.

I love my OG fatty PS3 and would be content with it 'til end of time but at least I can come close to a date on how much longer it needs to functionally last until it can be sent upstate to a nice farm for retirement. And by upstate I mean my attic next to the NES, OG Gameboy, SNES, GBC, PSone, N64, PS2, DSi and Wii. It's served me damn well for 7 years now.

Several JRPGs out in September and a few over the winter. Atelier might be the final holdout in Spring 2015 or that goddamn new Tales game we know nothing about that sure as hell better be a PS4 title by now. Not having to worry about Persona 5 in infinite "TBA" on the PS3 is no longer an issue so long as I get a PS4 in the next 6-9 months.

I'm not reading too much into the release date window as back when it was announced we already expected Winter 2014 to mean 2015, short of a Christmas release. I guess this opens up the possibility of a delay beyond March though.

Protag looks good enough, certainly better than 3´s and on par with 4´s .

Now it's time to talk about real Persona! Not the minimal dating sim elements and unnecessary self insertion!

I wonder what the Persona are going to look like? It seems from the trailer that they will look more imposing if that is our MCs. I like the MCs design. Kinda basic like the other MCs yet still distinctive. I hope the rest of the cast looks great as well. I also hope it will be very diverse.

The tone is obviously going for a more darker edge which surprises me. I thought the next one would be more like Persona 4 considering the popularity.

The uniform is dissapointing. Because I really liked all of the previous four games a lot. I hope Atlus doesn't go overboard and keeps the dating elements to a minimum as usual because that is NOT what Persona is about. I don't want the game to be bogged down by it.

All in all the trailer got me hyped. I just hope the MC has a tiny bit of personality. Maybe like how Ludger was handled in Tales of Xillia 2. Like a diary of sort to read his thoughts.

Can someone with more knowledge on Japanese games fill me in on what is the general translation timeframe for games this size? Or does it vary too wildly to make any assumptions?

I wonder what the theme of the cast's Personas will take after. Greek lore in P3, then Japanese lore in P4. What would be cool for P5? Spanish lore? African (That would be badass)?

This should take no more than 6 months to arrive in NA after Japan release, seeing how popular P4G was in the West, the localization will be a lot faster this time.

Europe? lol

How do you figure? This P5 intro teaser seems pretty similar to the P3 and P4 ones, IMO. I wouldn't try to assume anything about the game yet.

I think either Norse, Christian, or Egyptian. Since those are like the remaining big 3 after using up Greek and Japanese.
