Ok... what the hell! PS Plus version had no pre-load, and its still not avaiable not even with IGC titles?? Also, the 50 dollars discount are already gone?? REALLY?? What a bad release for this game! I thought I would be able to try it first and then get the Plus discount! But its already for 60 bucks and no Plus version avaiable!!

The discount is up. And, yes the PS+ Edition doesn't have pre-load, just like any other PS+ game. And the game is not up yet, but the store is not officially updated yet, so...(not officially up until the PS Blog goes up).

Edit: Actually I guess the blog post HAS been published. That is definitely odd.

Relax. It will come back. Preorders have been closed since the game is out, so the offer isn't available. It will become available again when the PS+ version is out.

$50 discount is back albeit as a separate entry for some reason. Free version is MIA with no word far as I can see.

The India tracks aren't pretty. They give that raw vibe of driving through a remote, tribal village. Lacks finesse, but compensates for it with character. Great extremely tight track design too. Making a pass is pretty damn hard. There's definitely more aliasing in India than other tracks, probably due to much higher frequency trackside detail.

I'm starting to understand why people think there is rubber banding. You end up racing in championships where other cars are simply better than yours, within the same class. They end up trouncing you in raw straight line speed. Once you unlock the same car, that doesn't happen anymore.

Also anybody that claims time of day has no bearing on how you race needs to take a walk. I find myself getting blinded so often and crashing into stuff! I even turned in the wrong direction once with the sun in my face because I was driving with no HUD. Unless you have every inch of the track memorized, time of day makes a huge difference!

Making the wait harder Viveks :p

Yup youre both right! I opened the store here and could find only the normal version (that is 60 dollars). But there is a separate version for 50 dollars yet. I thought it would be like a discount for Plus, at the normal version! Sorry for the overraction! =p

But still, its taking quite too liong for this Plus version to show up! I thought I would arrive from my job and start the download! T-T

you had me until you brought FH2 into the mix.

Well, I hearing the same things. 2 personal friends of mine are playing this and one send me a message "try before you buy...". Called him and must say that his impressions are on par with the ones you commented on. He does not own FH2, so he could not say anything regarding that. I do own FH, but I don't own DC so can't compare.

Guess I'll find out, playing the PS+ edition, but it worries me tbh.

Yup! Thats strange! They should do it like a disccount for Plus subscribers. I think they're trying to sell it for 60 dollars for the unninformed.

A company being excited for their new game is a huge slap in the face to all the fans that liked their old games.

Have you done the Bandipur drift event with the Ferrari California yet?

It's been my favorite India moment in the game.

I’ve been playing for around two hours - mostly tour, some standalone time trial stuff - and i think the driving model is excellent and the actual racing is challenging and fun. It’s still damn beautiful, too and that certainly counts for something.

It does remind me a little of PGR with the driver points and the simcade handling.

I do think that if anyone playing this didn’t have any fun in the early Hot Hatch championship, with tons of cars all around you, trading paint and flying around corners on the mountain with the sun shining through the leaves in the trees, then that person just doesn’t really like racing in racing games. It was lots of fun and showed off the game’s handling model and graphics really well.

edit: the main complaint that does bug me is the off track warning. it’s big and in your face and starts off real fast. I wish they’d update the game to eliminate that screen-centerer warning - put it off one the side… and maybe don’t be quite so quick to reset a car. seeing that warning as soon as you hit gravel with a bunch of other cars detracts form the experience.

I'm still doing hatchbacks brah! :p

Store update is live though. I just downloaded Spelunky. Driveclub PS+ demo is MIA

Did Sony ever say that the PS+ version was coming out today or just in October?

No idea. They said it'll come. I'll chase people down to get more info if we hear nothing in the next 2 hours

I will rage so hard IRL if it doesn't come today... I just want to try it before I buy it (or choose not to). Sony plsss
I don't know about rage but I'd be very, VERY disappointed. And while money being tight sealed it anyway I'd definitely avoid buying the game without either the Plus version showing up or some massive discounts hitting the game.

Agree with all of this, especially the blinding! Haha.

I also find it crazy how the elevation changes affect my driving, quite a few times I come up full speed over a hill to find a corner awaiting me. Can't wait to learn the tracks more

S o g o o d.

I was sitting down, playing for a good half hour while going through the tour placing 1st in every single track. I thought damn this is fun as hell.

Then I remembered.....

I had a couple eggs boiling downstairs.

I think I ran downstairs faster than any one of my laps.
