That platforming section looked amazing.

Please tell me you saw what happened to your post

Holy crap. I thought the combat looked a little simplistic but the adventure part looked great. Hopefully they mix is varied ways to use the power during time stops.

That whole bridge section was tense. Need to see more!

All of this. This game looks pretty ace.

Looks really good. This game has classic Remedy all over it, and seems to be a much more entertaining game than Alan Wake. The platforming looks cool. Only thing I dislike is the camera shake when the player shoots. That can be annoying.

This is the type of stuff I want out of my next gen AAA games. I don't need you to reinvent the wheel, I just want you to do something with that wheel that a departure from the norm. We've had 3rd person cover shooters with platforming but I've never time ran past a car that's repeatedly crashing and un-crashing in the midst of everything else being frozen in time around me. That adds a layer of freshness to the tried and true. Thank you based Remedy.

Basically, gameplay isn't the only thing that can innovated upon.

I completely agree btw, the whole setting for this game is absolutely fantastic.

I actually think the screen rumble is a great little part of the visual feedback that can make the guns feels powerful. Red Dead Redemption did something similar.

Looks amazing, Remedy are so talented.

Hopefully the game play is a bit deeper than what was shown, platforming in particular but maybe just a basic level.

I don't like cut scenes so much, something simple like jumping down that tube slide at the end would be fine with me in control. You shouldn't have to take control away so often to up the presentation, game does just fine especially with production values that high.

And if it's done well whats wrong with that?

Nothing at all, just some people roll their eyes at the next heavily scripted game, and others embrace it. It's looking solid, and Remedy's talent with narrative will likely be the biggest hook.

Wow
That last segment was the most impressive next gen moment I've seen yet

I have no idea why they waited until now to show that footage!

Wow, the platforming looks so much better than the shooting! Amazing! I'm glad that they delayed this into 2015, it should give Remedy the time they need to make it amazing-

The gun play seems to be passable, the abilities seem kind of interesting. The shaking camera with every shot looks rather annoying though. Bridge scene is fun to watch and looks awesome. Just don't know if it will hold up for a full game, would be cool to see the scope of scenes like that doubled for the full release.

Either way I am sure Remedy will make an interesting and enjoyable experience either way. This still set for mid 2015 release? Or does it have a chance to be pushed back to fall/holidays?

After seeing platforming aspects of the game, I think I might just get this! I love the effects!

Seriously... I was a bit disappointed by earlier showings of this game but holy crap I'm on board now. Really, really impressed with this demo.

Does anyone else feel like this would be better without the TPS parts and instead used the time aspect to navigate past and avoid enemies with a heavier focus on platforming?

Really amazing looking game. I was initially luke warm about the game but I am now starting to warm up to this. I loved that you can use items around you as weapons by releasing it from the time stutter. This is shaping up to be solid!

I'm on the opposite boat, I really like the shooting, and what could be done with the time slow mechanic there (btw I skipped the intro part but did they mention if the power reloads that quickly, cause it seemed like it came back too fast and could be used too often). The platforming section was not that impressive to me, it seemed more tedious than anything else. I feel the game to try and show off the time slow will have way too many slow parts of trying to platform around that will kinda mess with the story and shooting flow.

What the hell? How did the developers manage to pull off some of these graphical effects? (Ground oscillating like water / floor peeling off (wtf?) / etc...) They're fucking amazing

I thought the game looked great before and this video makes me even more hyped for it. This is what I will get an X1 for.

What a graphical showcase!

But if you remove all the graphical fluff, the actual platforming is very basic and basically is the same as avoiding this :

Not really. Those parts are just routes with simple obstacles you can toss some time magic at. I think people are getting a bit blinded by the imagery, there's nothing substantial going on with the 'platforming,' or at least not enough to carry a game alone.
