Half way through the game, you gain control a 2nd character, the main supporting protagonist, and realize he's actually undercover cop.

Some Sleeping Dogs or Infernal Affairs/The Departed stuff.

Caught someone streaming this last night (from the start) - for once a decent 'HD' full screen, ran really nicely and looked good (just watched the first mission)...I have to say I hardly noticed any frame-rate issues at all and overall it's much smoother...so hyped!

Just drove around a bit on PS3 to remind myself how this game looks and performs on last gen. The lighting is so brilliant, but the jaggies are ridiculous. Bring on the PS4 version!

From what I've seen from the ps4 and Xbone footage, jaggies wise it's very clean. You won't have the shimmery jaggies and the poor image quality ( maybe except AF) on next-gen.

I don't think they can go back, but they can't do 3 again.

Maybe they can do 2 characters on opposite sides of the law (a woman detective would be nice for a change) and make several branches in the story, differend endings and make switching between them completely optional.

But it sounds like it could be a nightmare, GTAVI is a game I really wouldn't want to have to work on.

Im trying to get somebody with the last gen versio of GTAV to login to the social club under my account so i have access to the welcome back bonusses :).

I do have the iFruit app but its useless for that.

im wondering if you sign on that and go to your garage for your online vehicles and hook a car up or something and save it if that will count as you signing back in on social via last gen.

I think they can. In practice the character switching mechanic wasn't as revolutionary as it was hyped up to be. At best it offered some minor replay value and cut back on mission down time, at worst it was a glorified fast travel. As a matter of fact, I think going back to 1 main character could be the best thing for this series as it could provide some thematic focus GTA needs after V failed to deliver narratively or with its heists.

I also think cutting the fat and focusing with one goal and one particular set of themes throughout the entire experience, not just story missions, is how they top GTAV. Connect the entire game from the perspective of the main character, or characters if they feel they can't go back to just one. Put me into the shoes of these criminals and give me access to content that makes sense for them. Yoga and paparazzi missions are not that.

But this is coming from someone who isn't tripping over themself to gush about these aspects of GTAV, so I'm obviously in the minority.
