Not immediately, since dailies last 48 hours, and it's not been cheaper than 50% off in the last sale
yeah, as others have said, they've already given away two free keys to the 80,000 people who signed up for it. They're already giving away the mode to people who own DS for free once it releases anyways, so it's not like they're out to exploit us. They've listened to community feedback and will probably end up spending a year on this before it's officially done. It's not a bloody charity.
I got Endless Space before it was finished, and played it a bit and then played a bit more once it was officially out + when they released the expansion.
Did they ever fix the bug that caused AI turn times to skyrocket once the turn numbers got higher? I remember having to waiting a minute or more for AI to finish their turns and it killed the flow for me.

Well worth it in my book for the single player experience. The only problem with the game now is multiplayer is completely broken (no saves and disconnects are pretty frequent). Seems they're working on fixing it, but it probably won't be functional for a few months.
I honestly don't know but that's a chronic problem with all 4x games, hard to say if it was actually a bug. I know it's gotten a ton of support including another recent small free expansion, so if it was actually a bug, I'd think it would have been fixed.
You're arguing with someone who is bitter over achievements of all things. Do you really think a rational argument is going to make a difference?
How is company of heroes 2? It kinda seemed like didn't sell well and I didn't see many people talk about it but I get the feeling that the Game was actually quite good. I own the first game and my brother was going to pick it up for us to play together. It's on sale for $10 and thought about us both picking it up instead. Is there a big difference going from 1 to 2?
It's ok. The gameplay is not much different from 1 and the additions are nice. Buuuuut, it tries so hard to sell you shit. The start screen is 3/4 advertisement for DLCs, you have lots of skins and generals you can buy from DLCs, you can't play all fractions without DLCs, you can't play all maps without DLCs and the game tells you every damn DLC you are missing. "Look at this nice map - oh, no DLC? Buy it now! Like NOW."

At least people who want MGS and don't have a PS4 or X1 to buy it for can now play it on their platform... that seems a lot bigger to me than another sale with disappointing discounts on newer items and the same old sale games over and over. If this is your 2nd or 3rd winter sale, I'm not sure why there's any excitement whatsoever.
Yeah tons of dlc was another problem about it I had heard about.

I rather enjoyed it personally, though how big an improvement it is over the first game remains up for debate. I think it is. As Chariot said, it's real keen on trying to sell you DLC, and while some of the DLC is good, it doesn't help people's opinions of a game when you boot up and are presented with a store trying to sell you more stuff. The controversy over the single player campaign set on the Russian front didn't help matters either.
I'm hoping that the Ardennes Assault stand-alone expansion has a decent discount in the sale, as I'll pick it up then.
But is is already? Half price.

It counts as progress now. I got a holiday card when I bought $10 worth of games from the store.
Pretty sure this specific one was a bug. I could be remembering incorrectly, but I think it was as soon as someone hit 150 turns things just slowed to a crawl. Normally I don't run into that on Civ until 300+ turns in and it just slows a bit instead of crawling a long.
I should just re-install it and check.

In short, I don't think you should buy it. CoH 1 is fine as it is. Do you guys want the WW2 setting? If not I would recommend you to get Dawn of War. Which looks a bit old by now, but is still an amazing game.

I didn't even notice the game had been released until mid-november.
It's probably a fun game with, once again, funny dialogues. But looking at screens and trailers, it looks eerily familiar to it's predecesor. Even Grubbins On Ice looked more distinct.
