To the surprise of no one, @AskPlayStation recants GR2 for Vita announcement (lol)

It was announced last year at TGS a sequel was in the works. They even released a trailer.

EDIT: Ah, this seems to be confirmation it's a Vita game, not a PS4 one as we hoped. Sorry, shouldn't have jumped the gun.

I'm very happy if this is the case. They may just also be working on a 1 to 1 PS4 port. The Vita never had the best life for big releases. I want to see the system cut loose with another Gravity Rush. GR3 can always be a PS4 title (after Vita is dead :()

So it's devolved from a confirmation with a trailer and everything all the way to people thinking it might be a rumour.

Awesome job for coverage Sony.

Well, I guess it hasn't been a secret for quite some time now. The devs openly talk about the game all the time. I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up not being a Vita game only though, based on what the director said recently.

Why not buy a Vita?

I'd like the franchise to be on a platform that it will sell more than a few hundred thousand at best, and get some real recognition And also, i'd like to see what they could do, even as a lower tier game with the PS4's comparative power with a game like this. Its really unfortunate in my view.

Is this like the sony equivalent of asking Xbox Support 2 for their opinion on exclusive deals

The first was a decent and somewhat interesting game. The controls took a while to get used to, though.

I'm up for a sequel, but not going crazy with anticipation.

Uh
Wasnt this announced a year ago?
Gravity Rush 2 was announced then, but I don't think they ever confirmed the platform. People kind of expected PS4 because Vita & Vita games sold like shit even at the time of the original game's release and sell like the nastiest shit imaginable nowadays, so it doesn't seem to make much sense to make Gravit Rush 2 for Vita. + there were the statements from the director of the game who was all "once you see Gravity Rush 2, you'll understand why we've been so silent for this long", which sounds more like they've made the switch to PS4 that allows them to make an even more impressive game than the original.

I find myself enjoying these kinds of games much more on my bed with a Vita and headphones than in my noisy living room on a TV.

Remote play just doesn't work well enough.

Very disappointing it's not a PS4 game. The IP is now one step closer to being dead. Seriously though, wait for a better source than this.

Based on the tweet, it says "designed for Vita". Which isn't that surprising given the initial teaser. Not really seeing any indication of exclusivity though.

Also, I think I have more confidence in what Toyama had to say than a Sony help desk guy. But that might just be me.

Damn i really hoped no one would have opened a thread about this, now it will inevitably become another Vita hate/begging thread.

In any case the tweet is from SCEA, the guys behind the Typ-O bullshit, so i would not trust them.

Wait for the official announcement before being happy or sad("designed" doesn't mean "exclusive" after all).

A actual vita game from Sony?
I'll believe it when I see it. still say it's going to be a vita/ps4 release

They released Freedom Wars a couple months ago and it's great. It's kind of amazing the lengths people will go to ignore games on the Vita.
