Been a long time coming, but it still made my day!
RIP my Chromecast.
So it's basically a shakedown?I think this about sums it up regarding Comcast and their blocking of non paying device makers.

Honestly, I think my HBO is like 8 or 9 dollars a month? I would happily pay probably $20 directly to HBO to not have to deal with Comcast's BS.
Does HBOGo work on PS3 with Comcast yet? I haven't checked in a bit.
That's what I don't really understand. They have to know which way the wind is blowing on this one. Why not bring enhanced value to your customers in an effort to keep them as customers?
Hopefully comcast will let me use it with the system. -_-
Can someone explain how this works? Subscription?
You subscribe to HBO through your cable company, and your cable company then decides if you're worthy of viewing the content you've paid for on your chosen device.
Comcast better work with this. There are no excuses.
Does Comcast work on the XB1?
Not available on PS3 can't see it working on this.
So Amazon Fire Stick is the only big name device missing it now?
(Don't think anyone was expecting it to ever come to Wii U)
If only HBO was able to become independent of cable companies. I'm not willing to pay for 100 other channels I have no interest in whatsoever just to be able to also get HBO.
Comcast will not let you use HBO to go on the PS3/ps4Comcast better work with this. There are no excuses.
Not everyone pays for On Demand through their provider.I have this on Xbox but I never use it. Might use it if I had my PS4 or Xbox on a TV without a cable box. Guessing that is why people are excited about this.
Not yet, but unbundled stand alone subscription HBOGo is coming.I don't have Hbo on my channel lineup subscription. Is there a way to pay to watch only on the Hbo app?
HBO GO is going to be an independent streaming service, just like Netflix.
(As opposed to HBO On-Demand through Comcast with an HBO plan.)
HBO GO is a whole seperate streaming service for non HBO subscribers. (I think HBO subs get it too, but it's not Provider-exclusive like HBO On-Demand is).
Unless I misread the whole thing.
Cool thanksNot yet, but unbundled stand alone subscription HBOGo is coming.
