And I don't get angry or insult anyone, I send my reasoning as a response.

Just so it is known, Hyrule Warriors is $48 on Amazon new with Prime shipping. Don't request $50, please.

Then tell the person in a PM that you don't want it for that price. Edit your original post if you want to emphasize how much you are looking to pay. The person who offered you the game for that amount probably didn't realize it was on sale for that amount on Amazon.

$30 for a $40 is fair, thats $10 off. The person might have purchased Hyrule Warriors for $60 at another store, not everyone checks Amazon. So to offer $10 less isn't that bad. You could also just say, WTB XXX game don't want to pay more than $XXX, people do it all the time

I sold the copy you asked about for $38 shipped on eBay ($32 after fees and shipping) a month after release, so I don't see how your offer of $30 shipped was reasonable at the time. I don't have the PMs anymore, but if you want to post them, go ahead.

Regardless of what happened with our case, you're better off listing whatever prices you're actually looking for - it's not like people don't already throw up WTB posts here with prices well below market value. It'd probably get you more success in finding what you want at the prices you want, as well as keeping more passive-aggressive posts out of the thread.

That wasn't passive aggressive. If I was going against a specific individual it would have been, but as I stated it has been a trend and was happening frequently.

And people do not always throw items up 'well below value'. Some people are great, others not so much.

eBay is a joke to people who actually know what games are going for. If people wanted to make that buck, they wouldn't be posting here. This is a semi-closed community and I assume the most of us are trying to help each other out.

It appears that he has some sort of script that polls the B/S/T page and posts as soon as it's x posts since the last one. Notice how it is posted within a minute of the previous poster?

That being said, your points have been brought up in this thread numerous times before. Yes, most people are pretty good at listing their items at great prices, but there is no requirement for them to do so. The OP explicitly states that you shouldn't be whining about prices. Seriously, it's #3 in the list.

If you decline an offer, then they have no responsibility to give you a lower offer. They most certainly can, but they are by no means required to.

Also, I'm not sure how you being around for a long time applies to anything. I'm simply telling you what the rules are. I'm not threatening you or anything. That being said, I don't want to junk up the thread any more than I already have with this.

This might be a long shot but would anyone here be able to help me locate a physical copy of Ocarina of Time 3DS? I don't mind covering cost, gas, and shipping. No one in my area has it and eBay loonies want too much for it. BB is the only big outlets that sells them used for $24.99 none of the stores located near me have any stock though.

That's on each individual person to choose to do, though.

And, even if one "knows what they have" (that is, knows the price it sells for at various sources), one still might value it higher than that.


If you're not listing a price you're willing to pay for it, frankly, there isn't any room to complain when someone says a price that's higher than you would pay for it.

Probably not true. I used to get top of the page quite consistently (when I was a bit more active). Enough so that it drew complaints. It was just because I was quite active on the B/S/T thread. I've beaten threetri333 a few times to top of the page (not recently, but in the past). I know some posters actually dislike that others can consistently get that spot, but it seems really petty to complain about it. I don't know if threetri333 uses a script to get that spot (which is possible) but I can assure you that it's not necessary.
