Parks and Rec is the GOAT (spoilers)

To me anyways. No other TV show comes close. I love every single character. Leslie Knope is everyone's dream woman. Ron Swanson is one bad mothafucka. Tom is adorable and hilarious and has the most charisma I've ever seen anyone have. Chris Traeger and Ann Perkins are indeed two beautiful people. Donna is super sassy and I super love her and Tom's "treat yo self" days. Andy Dwyer and April Ludgate are perfect for each other. Andy cracks me up constantly and is obviously a total idiot, yet he's one of the nicest and most thoughtful characters on the show. Literally he's like a puppy. Ben is ok. I like his looks into the camera lol.

I've seen a lot of good TV. The Wire, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Mad Men, The Office, Community, Daredevil, Always Sunny, Archer. But nothing comes close to Parks and Rec in terms of how it has affected me. Whenever I watch an episode, I instantly cheer up and my energy is significantly boosted. Also, it's the only show I've wanted to rewatch and had no problem watching again. Couldn't do it with Breaking bad. Couldn't do it with walking dead. Probably will with the office.

And even though I know what's gonna happen and remember most of the jokes, I still laugh my ass off, probably more this 2nd time around than the 1st time. I still tear up (definitely more than last time), at things like Leslie and Ben's surprise wedding. I knew it was coming but when Ron stopped Leslie in the hallway before opening the door, my eyes started leaking. And when she got elected to city council, basically achieving one of her childhood dreams, I cried. Seeing these people accomplish everything they dreamed of is like seeing my own friends and family do the same. Kinda weird, but hey, it's a great show.

And yes, I've seen the final season and the finale. I love pretty much everything about it. I was totally blindside by Ann's return because I didn't pay attention to the credits but when Leslie and Ann reunited it was freaking awesome.

Anyways I'm sure tons of people disagree with me but whatever. This is my opinion.

Brendanawicz tarnished the first couple of seasons, and Parks' first season was really rough on its own. I think some of the later stuff veered off as well, although I definitely agree with you that the show always cheered me up. Side characters were great too, from Perd to Ron's ex-wife to Jamm.

I actually put off watching the series finale for a couple of weeks because I didn't want the show to end.

Ive watched the whole series well over a dozen times(excluding the final season which I've seen 3 times so far) I fucking love this show. I honestly can't get tired of it. It also helps it reminds me of home since I moved out of Indiana in 2013.

Definitely one of my GOAT as well <3 All of what you said!! And something that's always stood out to me is that Parks and Rec is one of the only, if not THE only show that knew how to make couples interesting. It's fabulous. There're a lot of great shows out there, but P&R is special :)

Best ensemble cast ever in a sitcom for me. Even when people paired off you still root for them, compared to Jim and Pam in the office it's night and day.

Literally every main character is likeable (once mark left)

That's not how you spell 30 Rock
Never seen it. It's on the list though!

Eh I thought Mark was ok. he had some funny moments and I thought it was cute (and creepy) how Leslie acted around/about him. But yes every single character is loveable and perfect.
Even Gary?
I left him out on porpoise :p

Easily one of my favorite shows with one of the best ensemble casts. Season 1 is only six episodes and it's just trying to find its footing. Season 2 and 3 are two of the best seasons of any show I've ever seen. Season 6 is pretty rocky and the weakest one for me. I very much enjoyed the finale too. I thought they wrapped it up nicely and gave everyone's story a nice ending.

So many great moments throughout. Obligatory:

I'm running through 30 Rock for like the fifth time, and it's still amazing. I really urge you to check it out, especially if you like what NBC had going at the time (The Office, Parks and Rec, Community).

When NBC had those four shows going, it was unstoppable. Except in like, the ratings department

It's a good show with a lot of heart and a talented cast, but it's also seriously uneven and descends into caricature of itself within the last several seasons. Both Pawnee the city and the characters lost their groundedness. A real case of writers chasing what resonated with fans and so losing a sense of balance, which is a common problem with comedy shows. Just speaking personally, it'd make my top 20 comedies on TV, but not my top 10, and certainly not a top 10 including dramas.

I like a couple of the characters (Ron & Andy) but can't stand the rest. By the final season the jokes became so bad and forced that I could barely get through it. I much prefer The Office and 30 Rock to Parks and Recreation, in terms of characters and the comedy.

It's one of my favorites shows for sure, except season 1. I pretty much love all the characters, Ron and Andy being the GOAT together!

Sometimes when I wipe, I'll wipe, and wipe, a hundred times I'll wipe, still poop, still poop. It's like I'm wiping a marker.

Bob's Burgers is the ultimate cure for depression. It is not only the best animated sitcom since early Simpsons, but it is probably one of the best sitcoms outright ever created. Don't get me wrong, I love Parks & Rec, it was my go-to program whenever I knew I wanted to watch something that would cheer me up and make me feel happy, but then Bob's Burgers came along and I knew it was something extremely special.

Give Bob's Burgers a try. Definitely the GOAT.

Yea it is definitely one of my favorites. I watch all 7 seasons in about 3 weeks (couldn't stop watching)...

I loved the first season. I think people who hate the 1st are weird.

The last season was the least impressive IMO. I didn't think any of the "in the future" jokes were ever that funny.

it's up there as one of my favs but not greatest of all time.

Except for Mark and Ann. And Chris and Ann. And Tom and Ann.

You know what? Just fuck Ann in general.
yeah Ann kinda sucks. she's just there for the "multi-ethnic genius baby" jokes lol.

One time while I was watching Archer (s4e01?) I was high af and had watched some Bob's Burgers earlier in the day. Well the episode of Archer I was watching happened to be the one where he is in the restaurant after losing his memory. But he thinks he's Bob. I for real thought I was watching the wrong show or someone was fucking with me. I was so confused

I don't believe any of that actually happened. Archer and Bob's Burgers crossing over? Sounds ridiculous. You need to watch all of Bob's Burgers just to make sure you weren't suffering from some sort of psycho-active breakdown.

I just started watching it a couple of weeks ago actually! Brilliant show. Halfway through season 6 now. Recommend it to anyone. Obviously very similar in style, so if you haven't seen the Office, I suggest taking a look at that too.
