Uncharted : The Nathan Drake Collection 1080p/60fps footage+demo coming this summer

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
It never fails for people to be disappointed by screenshots and high compression video.

I remember people were saying the same damn thing about The Last of Us Remastered until they actually saw the beauty of the game on their actual system and in motion.

Not only that, this is still months away from release. There is a lot more time to optimize and improve since these are just ports. Supposedly it was mere weeks before release that ND was able to get TLoU:R running at a stable 60fps.

For UC2 and 3 you can pretty much count on it. It stands to reason that the UC1 will get more attention though.
At least sony isn't charging $40 a pop like with GoW3.
Ah no.

That means not only delivering the single-player campaigns of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in 1080p and 60fps with better lighting, textures, and models, but also adding a range of improvements and additions across all three games including Photo Mode and new trophies.

Here are some PS3 screen shots.

Here is some comparable PS4 shots.

I hope it's as good as the TLoU remaster, which made going back to the PS3 version unbearable. That was done in house though.

Bluepoint has a good track record.

Texture and shadow resolution and filtering look greatly improved to me.

I don't suppose it'll support 2160p30 though, as nice as it'd be.

I'm pretty much just expecting the same deal we got with TLoU:R - 1080p, 60fps, improved AF, higher res textures, higher quality character models in-game. That'll be fine for me tbh, I've only ever played UC3 all the way through.

Anybody else wish ND would go through and systemically eliminate the silly "coloring" of all the platformable surfaces? I love these games, but they become a by the numbers, "jump to the yellow" block experience for idiots.

My God, I can now predict exactly what I'm going to read in a remaster thread ... and Youtube suddenly becomes the perfect way in which to judge the quality of the graphics. It's really odd how 'some' people wait patiently for Gamersyde videos and 'others' love to judge immediately. Unbelievable.

The video is useless with this much compression and at 30fps.

If anything, it only shows the lack of motion blur -- which might make sense at 60fps, but makes the 30fps footage a bit worse.

Like any remaster, anything but Gamersyde videos tends to just underrepresent how much sharper and high fidelity playing the game in person actually is.

TLoU was showered with "it's the same" comments until people actually played it.

Where did they wrote (or say) that the footage is from the Collection ? I just read that the screenshots are from the Collection, not the footage.

"C'était les petites impressions vidéo de Uncharted : The Nathan Drake Collection".

Couldn't be more clear to me.

Gameblog is a sensationalist website, and it's hard to trust them since the Wii Hi-Fi "leak"

But this isn't some kind of incredible leak we're talking about here. It's just a small footage of a game coming out in October. This isn't some conspiracy theory, what the hell.

We need to temper expectations with these remasters.

It's never going to be as impressive as when God of War or Ico and Shadow of the Colossus were remastered for the PS3.

These games were already HD and beautiful on the PS3, It'll never be that big of an improvement.

There are millions of whiny 5-year olds on Earth, and I AM THEIR KING.
Wait, is it really called Nathan Drake Collection? Is there even a game that didn't include that protagonist as the lead one?

The aliasing and dithering in these images is kinda burning my eyes. I certainly hope the final game has these things fixed.

AA passes are the one the last things to be implemented if I understand the typical process. I imagine it will be on par with TLOUR which had excellent AA

Even from that small clip can easily see the difference in the drake model especially the hair. The hair looks like it does in UC3.

Whatever the final version looks like, I'm jealous of all those that are going to experience this great series for the first time!! Definitely one of the best from last gen!

Also the gun mechanics looked tweaked as well. In UC2 on ps3 the guns would come out in random directions within a tight crosshair when held down for a lengthy amount of time whereas now it looks like they come out straight for the most part.

hmm, UC3 model in UC2 makes me think that UC1 will have some pretty (relatively) big improvements.

Very much looking forward to that.

I assume they won't rerender the pre-rendered cutscenes at 60fps though, right?

Depends. TLoU did it but that was in house. DmCDE is the only one where the technical side of things was handled outside of the original studio and got rerendered. I hope they do.

Yeah, that's the thing. I know it was a pain in the ass (especially for file sizes) to re-render the TLoU cutscenes, so it just seems unreasonable to expect it here for three games total.

I will be pleasantly surprised if it happens, but I certainly don't expect it.
