Is it? That might change things then. Hope so.

It is. In fact Blue Team is the ONLY industrial level we have seen. Otherwise we have seen...

1. Sangheilios desertish/canyon
2. Kamchatka Snowy
3. Sangheilios city over water
4. UNSC/ONI base (Blue Team level.)

Then we have seen various other levels in the trailers from some greenish-blue Forerunner looking place and a lava area.

Honestly we've seen quite a bit of variety and no doubt places we haven't seen yet.

If level 10 is half the game... It's gonna be not only big but long, very long...

I've already purchased a digital edition, but can't wait.

Just watched the first one. Yeah, that's it for me. No more campaign videos till launch. Halo 5 looks amazing btw! It's looking better and better every time 343 shows it off.

This sandbox just looks like so much fun, lots of ways to go about doing things. It's going to be a blast chaining together kills with weapons and spartan abilities.

Pretty sure the resolution drops when they get on the ghosts by the Kraken. Hopes it's not too noticeable of a difference on the final build.

I hope there's more skulls in the game. Some of the ones from the anniversary treatments are really fun.

Which brings me neatly onto a concern I have with Halo 5's campaign: that we may not get to play as Master Chief as often as we'd like. Spartan Locke is the star for much of the game, hunting Master Chief for pissing off the UNSC in some unknown way, but I'm really not that interested in his backstory or his place in the larger Halo lore. For me, Halo has always been about the faceless Master Chief, a blank canvass I've always felt at ease painting on. Master Chief is a super soldier with out of this world powers, but we all have a shot at being the guy in the suit, leaping headfirst into insurmountable odds, saving humanity by being the hero the world desperately needs. When Bungie asked us to help Master Chief "finish the fight" back in 2007, the hairs on the back of my neck rose to attention. I'm not sure Spartan Locke inspires a similar sense of heroism.

From Eurogamer and I agree. I hope Chief isn't pushed to the side

For the love of all that is good in this world why were we not shown this at E3?

Its one thing to hear all the promises of expanded playspaces, but to actually see them in motion is truly a sight to behold.

Hey guys!

In case any of you who aren't well versed in Halo are wondering: "Who is Blue Team?"

Well, rather than me explaining it... Check out Halo Canon - Blue Team Primer Series, you can even find videos for each specific character of Blue Team and Osiris. It's even a good refresher for those who have fallen off the Lore train.

Also when you fall into the Halo lore train... You may find yourself unable to escape. =D

Some of the videos make me think if they found a 6-year-old kid for this preview. Especially when I see needler burst fire, it's...pathetic.

The Enemy Line mission looks so great, this kind of outdoor missions always hype me up.

Can't wait to see more about multi this Friday!

Looks great. Was able to look at most of the footage. Will read more of the previews later this morning, should get back to sleep.

One big disappointment is how much Blue Team talks. I get that the game has to think for you and it's gotta be action schlock now, but whatever happened to the way Spartan IIs just communicated with acknowledgement lights? They were such efficient death machines that they rarely spoke.

Watching people who grew up with their first console FPS being COD is hilarious. Saw a dude ADS with the AR and slowly walk around a corner against a friggin Jackal just now.

Looks really good. The weapons and movement are great from those videos. Wait and see if I like Locke. They are pretty spot on with the call outs, too much who knows but seems to flow well. I liked Chief punching the switch to get to the keypad, payback for Halo 4 press switch animation.

It nearly made me gag. Fucking terrible. Didn't even bother shooting the gap in its shields, too.

I'm sure the game is gonna be fantastic. The people playing it in these videos just suck.

Read the Polygon & Eurogamer articles.
Hurm. Hurm.
Slightly back in the worried & cynical camp, as someone who is likely going to play this singleplayer I mean.

For me those concerns are pretty unwarranted, what we've seen are very consistent, it is expected to play a campaign with that much of exploration and varied combat throughout so I don't see why.

Great previews. The Eurogamer's one is really good and well writted.

But what's the point with the Engadget's one? Why do they let a noob guy play this preview? He keeps saying that he did not understand anything... Hey, the MCC is here for him!

If Polygon's video is indeed on heroic difficulty, I think we can call elite combo retired for good, all the conventional weapons are powerful enough to deal with the elites without having to rely on the plasma pistol.

Jooo, time to go dark. I did sneak a bit of the 'Enemy Lines' mission and it seems that there's plenty of blood when shooting grunts and their ilk, very different from yesterday's gameplay.

Ok, I admit. I also watched a smart snippet of blue team. I am worried for the AI though, both friendly and enemy. I saw Linda stand point blank at a wall and fire her sniper as well as her standing in full vision of a turret and not moving while getting shot.

Stinkle said in another thread that this is a older build and AI will probably be improved. If Elites know how to dodge then the combo will still be the most effective way to deal with them.

Gamearadar and Gamespot are more positive. The opinion seems to be mixed so far, but it's just the first two missions so I'm not that worried.

Yeah I know, was talking about shield strength/HP wise, if you can break their shields without having to deplete several magazines of BR or pistol ammo, elite combo isn't entirely required in less trickier engagement, while in previous games you are pretty much required to have a PP equipped at all times on Heroic and Legendary since all other weapons don't do shit to them. All in all I welcome this change as it opens up gameplay possibilities.
