Achievements showing as 0% for every game

Anyone else have this problem?

I finished three Halo 5 levels today and no achievements popped. I imagine they are down for a bit or it's having an update applied to them?

Edit: The Xbox Live status is saying that Social and Gaming as well as Core Services are currently limited. It appears to be achievements and Xbox 360 sign-ins.

I have just downloaded the new dash however when I try to sign in and enter my password it just loops, so I can't sign in as it never accepts my password. Anyone else experience this issue?
Edit: Seen the workaround. Will be a hassle if I have to do that all the time.

For the people saying Xbox 360 OS was slow and took you 5 minutes to sign in - that is not my experience. I'm not looking at it with rose tinted glasses, I still use my 360. Everything is much quicker. Even things like settings are available from Xbox button.

Yea, I kinda figured something like this would be the cause, but didn't want to lose my data. On my old 360 I had an XSata which made it all pretty easy, I don't have anything like that for the 360S, and I don't use it that much now anyhow (will be even less with BC arriving soon).

But yea, just wanted to say that people saying their 360's are super slow, and those saying that they don't experience it, are both likely to just actually be seeing completely different levels of dashboard performance.

Stuck in an update boot loop.

Checking for updates always says there's one available, but it fails with a E100 error.

After power cycling 3 times with the same error message, the console reverts to the previous state and states there's a new update available in the settings option.

Knew this day would happen. I hope MS releases a clear everything tool, not the one that's on the website right now because that doesn't clear the onboard flash memory. It only clears the hard drive.

The old 360 blade style interface was the king. Way faster and not inundated with ads.

The 360 dash launched with ads.

The blades dash had them. Most people just have rose tinted glasses and forget about it.

We've had multiple threads where people insist there were no ads on blades and then screens are posted proving that there were.

Is there an update going out or something? My console won't power on. It plays the start up jingle when the power button is pressed, and the eject button will eject and accept discs, but my controllers won't connect and the power light won't turn on. The light on the power brick is white.

A New Xbox One Experience update is rolling out to NXOE Preview participants tonight at 6PM PT, November 2nd . This update contains fixes and stability improvements - see below for details. If these issues still occur for you after updating to this build, please use Report a problem to let us know.



HOW TO GET IT

If your console is in Instant-On mode and you have been selected, it will download and install the update and reboot to standby.
NOTE: Once the update is available to your wave, you can manually begin the update by navigating to Settings > System and selecting System Update.

If I am streaming from the xbox to a PC is there any benefit in connecting the controller to the PC and not letting it just connect to the console? Is there any benefit in the wireless adapter? I have the wires and I can get the adapter but don't see a reason to plug it in to the PC - or maybe I don't know what I am missing.

Skype. Make an echo test call.

For some reason the last dash update tweaked my voice chat mic (only sent static) until I did a hard reset on the console.

Skype is the only way I've found to accurately hear what you are sending because the echo test records and then plays back.

Smart glass hasn't worked with Netflix since I updated to NXOE a month ago. Works with everything else though.

I've been all over support since yesterday. All they do is tell you to post in the support forums. What it comes down to is that they just need to release an update that fixes these problems. All some of us can do is wait.

Just found out a way to access achievements without having to use snap.

If you double tap the home button and press up to get to your icon you can click on it to go to My Achievements which opens the social.

I've been on the "normal" preview all this time, never opted-in to NXOE. But I just got NXOE tonight as was promised last week.

Upgrade went really smoothly, things appear to be working well so far. Nice and speedy, no issues to speak of.

I was earning some achievements yesterday when I noticed for the first time that holding the xbox button displays the achievements in a new way on the NXOE. Looks good.

I have found the culprit, it's the edge browser, it's repeatable for me.

If I start the edge browser then play a game or do something like watch a movie, I will get the black screen issue, if I go back to the dash and physically exit edge by selecting exit in the context menu, the problem goes away immediately.

The only thing I can think of is that there is something running in the background while edge is minimised that's causing it to skip.

I have a video, it doesn't show the black screen though, it shows up as a skip, watch the timer in the top right jump a second at about 33 seconds.

Got random achievements for H5. Based on the list online I'd say I missed 3/5 I earned. Thankfully I don't care much, but it's certainly an issue that needs resolving.
