Yea, VR Integration exclusive to PlayStation VR. So, it has some VR feature and that feature will only be on the PS VR regardless of any other platforms the game comes to.

1. What is the Strangereal

It the universe that Ace Combat 2-6 take place in, they didn't use it for their last game Assault Horizon, which was set in the real world and was a poor AC game.

Probably just used for immersion (which, depending on how successfully it's implemented, may very well be worth it).

Story is pretty big in AC. It has compelling characters and semi-realistic depictions of war.

Ace Combat flight is much better,
Characters and story is also incredibly good.

IMO, nothing compares to Ace Combat in the PS2 days. The gameplay, missions and environments still hold up today. I tried HAWX 2 and didn't like it, some people tell me I should try HAWX 1. But I have tried other Ace Combat imitators and none of them can match the fun of Ace Combat 3/4/Zero.

I wasn't too hyped for a new Ace Combat, but with VR support I am now.

Imagine if we get one of these too

I don't think they work well with the quick arcade-y Ace Combat style but I'd love to give it a try.

I don't think there's any reason for this to be VR exclusive. Ace Combat is one of the most well known franchises in a genre that's the most VR friendly, so I think Sony saw this as an opportunity to advertise PSVR's integration into a new AC.

I play 3rd person as well but think about how VR would change the dull 1st person view,
Just imagine looking up at the canopy while inverted and seeing the ground beneath you. No matter where you look you are(vision at least) in a fighter jet.

Head tracking no only frees up that needed control but keeps you in.
