If you do have an issue with these rules, feel free to let me know. I think that it is unfair for everyone, including the game itself, if discussion is derailed and I want people to enjoy a good game as much as possible.

naw man it's all good. the majority of negative nancies don't even know what they're negative about

let them make another thread about whatever the fuck they're down about. The Fatal Frame V OT was pretty good with almost no whiners. I hope the western OT for #FE fares the same

Also if folks haven't seen it before, the above is basically a nod to the original Fire Emblem's commercial in the 90's:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-2kf1VKM1U

I haven't watched the major spoiler video yet, since I'm playing through the game of course, but considering that hint here, oh I can't wait to see it in the game since I love that commercial so much. Was fantastic hearing it sung live at the Fire Emblem 25th anniversary concert last year.

Really love this game so far too. Just finished chapter 1. Glad I got a week off right now so that I can try and get through it all. So much fun.

Wait... (spoiler)

Is that really Marth, or is it Chrom and that person fused that happens to look like Marth for that scene?

MC gets rekt by Medeus in a cutscene, then Marth (who, from my understanding, was thought dead earlier) is like "nope" and revives/fuses with him alongside Chrom. (He stays in that form for the Medeus fight, but Chrom still echos around in his head)

It's the protagonist, Itsuki. He just fuses with Marth's soul or something and looks like him for the extent of that scene and battle. It's pretty dumb.

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own
The comments in the other video are even better. The meltdown/salt is hilarious.
Its comments by people who act like they never seen or played a Japanese thing before, like any other day they wouldn't probably type that BS
Cliiiick it...I know you waaaant it...

It's a spoiler thing but I don't think it spoils that much of the game given the context of the content.

nope, keeping as fresh as possible....tho I might falter with music videos

It was already answered by someone else but I hinted it in the character descriptions in the OP.

In this game
Mirages are basically in a sense reincarnations from their past lives and linger in the idolasphere and in the final chapter, (which I gave up on hard... don't got time for masocore right now doing a lunatic NG+ instead), you fight Mediuth and your party struggles and isn't able to defeat him. Marth's will is heard and lingers and Itsuki is able to carnage unite with Marth alongside Chrom and you go through the final battle and fight with your party.

Their affinity is hinted throughout the game with Itsuki's personality and character traits being similar, Tiki immediately looking towards Itsuki as an older sibling figure like with Marth, and through his initial Carnage form design. There's more too but I'm mobile at the moment.

I'm tentatively interested in this game. I never would've said this aesthetic is what I wanted out of FE X SMT but now that it exists and isn't FE X SMT I gotta say it looks p cool; at the very least, I can say I've never played anything like this.

However, every time I try and figure out what this game is I understand it even less. I appreciate the detailed OP and I read all of it up until my eyes completely glazed over:

You can spend your Performa that you obtain in the Idolasphere to upgrade your Radiant Skills that can grant various effects for your Mirage Master.

Definitely going to have to wait for English-language video before I pull the trigger on this one.

Thanks for that, I thought
Tiki was only attracted to him because his Fire Emblem character being Chrom, and since Chrom's a descendant of Marth, that just made her attracted to him

On another note, Atlus better get some representation in Smash 5 with this music, it would fit well despite none of the Fire Emblem stages fitting with the anime music

There's definitely a lot of systems and new terminologies. Lemme see if I can break it down for you:

Performa is simply special energies that you'll find thruout the story and in the dungeons of the game. Performa can be used to fuse/create things.

The Idolasphere is basically the other world/dungeons that Mirages exist in.

Radiant Skills are basically subskills/abilities that affect your stats.

Mirage Master/Mirages - Mirages are kind of like Personas (I'm only making this comparison to make the system easy to understand)
Mirage Masters are the people that have formed bonds with Mirages, AKA the main cast. IE Itsuki is a Mirage Master, Chrom is his Mirage.

Think of like SMT's fusion system, here instead of fusing to create demons, you use the ingredients to create new weapons/skills.

In all fairness, there's really nothing out there that compares to #FE as far as Japanese games are concerned, so it's understandable that people would react differently to the video. It's almost as if they've experienced a huge culture shock.

Anyone here able to make use of the Premium Live code from the Fortissimo Edition? Mine's going spare if anyone wants it!

From what Quocia was saying it sounds like it's only redeemable until 12th January, so it's probably better if someone takes it off my hands sooner rather than later.
