A lot more expensive than expected... But considering all that is packaged with it, 2 games, controller, cables, etc., I wonder how large the markup is on these...

What's shitty is that this is the one I was looking forward to. Mainly because of the minds behind it. But fuck that. 3-400 and I'm in.

Makes sense, although I'd assume "at cost" wouldn't land on such a comfy $599 tag, so it is likely they have either saved you some money or added to it to get that number.

Damn, looks like the VR decision might have been made if Sony can shave $200 off there.

If not, I'll not be an early adopter that's for sure.

lol. No way I'm getting one for that price, even as somebody who owns a DK2 and knows how great VR can be.

$840 Canadian

add in a $300 PC upgrade that would take me just below the min specs. (Which means I probably would need $600 worth of upgrades to take me above the min line).

Very pricey

Sorry, that's just too much for a gaming product that hardly has any great software to support it at the moment. I wanted to buy one, but maybe not right now. Bummed.

Ouch! I was expecting $499 at the very least and secretly hoping for something along the lines of $399. This is twice what I paid for my 970. I'm still very much interested in VR but it's gonna need a hell of a software lineup in order to entice me at that price point. All I'm really interested in at this moment is EVE Valkyrie.

Well I'm gonna pass on that. Jeez. Even if it's coming with more shit, that's still nearly twice the price of the devkit.

New tech is expensive. We were just talking about launch blu-ray players costing $899 in the av thread.

Well, looks like I wont be jumping on the VR bandwagon....not that I cant afford it, I just cant justify spending that much on something like this.

Heres hoping that PSVR comes in at half that price.
