Not Aunt Viv dragging Jada Pinkett Smith I cant...

Shit happened two decades ago and she's still salty as fuck.

She won't let go, and is salty to the point where she's commenting on Youtube videos.

Why is Cornel West on Bill Maher acting a damn fool?

EDIT: No this nigga Cornel did NOT compare Bernie Sanders' campaign to Dr. King:

“I was sitting in church today, Mother Emanuel Church, and we were reading the words of Martin Luther King Jr. and it just makes you shake and quiver,” West said. “And I said to myself, ‘This is what the Sanders campaign is about. This is what it’s about. It’s about the poor, working people. It’s about keeping track of the weak and the vulnerable. It’s about mustering the courage to tell the truth about Wall Street, about wealth inequality.”

I can't with Bernie Sanders or his stans. I really can't.

double jump

you haven't lived until a random little kid ask you "how do you make love".
What's wrong with the statement? It's fairly typical of any leftist who doesn't hold trust with the establishment.

Bernie seems like a good dude but he's running for president. MLK was leading the disenfranchised to our civil rights. It's not even remotely the same.
Sure support the man but someone with Cornel's level of education should know better than to be making statements like that.

I only read the article but I think he may not have meant that's it's the same thing, only that the cause is similar. I think he probably knows Bernie is cooked if he gets in the white house but has no support outside that.

he's always been trying to go beyond civil rights with King. cornell talks about his socialist radicalism and wealth redistribution work, King's I mean, not Bernie's. So many people don't realize that was also King's thing.

Chris Rock's first joke should be.
"Welcome all you lovely people. I am lucky to be here. I'm the only person of color they invited"

Chris Rock has so many options.

1) Suck it up and do the job.

2) Snipe and snark every chance he gets, like the above.

3) Come out for the opening monologue, hit'm with the ether, drop the mic and go home.

I'm expecting #2, because he probably still wants the connections to do the projects he wants to do, but can't resist letting them know how they fucked up.

a private citizen just paid alot of dough for this giant banner to be put up, imaginie if someone did this with obama

Because unfortunately, he was eliminated as he began to shift gears realizing that that was a logical path for the future.

Can you imagine? A charismatic, young, passionate, and influential man such as Martin Luther King espousing the ideals of socialism? He could have been greater than Eugene V Debs of the past or Bernard Sanders of the present.

Ahh well, perhaps for another era.

I recognize this face all too well.

I'm expecting #2 because that's Chris Rock. I would like 3 though just to see the Crowd's expression.

Always weird to see that MLK quote about the unreality of a tension-less transition only to see a few posts later a plea from a Gaffer for a nice, quiet tension-less transition. Just a constant reminder that MLK new more about the obstacles of injustice than they knew about themselves.

Hey guys can we have a moment of silence in this thread for all the hypothetical lives lost in the MLK Bridge thread? I think it would be a nice gesture.

Too early in the week to be going full Micheal from Good Times.

Just noticed something.

There are quite a bit of black people on The Flash. Like a surprising amount, and they are adding even more.

Yeah, like I said earlier, I was surprised as hell that the love interest was a black woman. I was also surprised that there was black female supervillain.
Too bad she's a low tier teleporter. She can only teleport to places within her visible range.

I posted without wading thru the 10 page bs and landed right on the same sentiment. It started early. Hypothetical white woman in distress is more valuable.

We can't even leave it to real people. Have to make up other people before you care about an actual black person who died.

The fact that people are still all about the idea that BLM has to convince people to care at all is the fucked part that I'm surprised people seem incapable of wrapping their heads around. They've watched the videos, seen the reports, know the grievances and still feel like its on the oppressed group to capitulate fully. I kinda find it scary that they can swing their stance of "people won't listen to you cry about the broken system unless you're nice" as empathy.

I do wonder if it's an intentional troll.

*tin foil hat on*

Dude's are falling out of trees to greet slay, randoms walking in the front door of this topic like it's a YouTube video 'pranking bct'. I've seen enough fuck shit to know the internet just breeds trolls. All this while major changes are going on in the lgbt community.

I'm saying that seeing progress on other areas make me more likely to be empathetic. No victim blaming for rape victims? I can see how that affects other people too. Can't say 'retarded' anymore? I'm not going to f*g or dead name anyone.

But black people's interests are locked behind some wall? I'm not buying it. I assume 75% are trolling or refuse to care.
