Mighty No. 9 has had a troubling development history and now it looks like it's been delayed again. According to its Xbox Store listing, the title is now scheduled to release on December 2.

Does anyone else feel some sort of guilty pleasure whenever bad news regarding this game comes out?

Sorry backers.

So the 9 in the title really refers to the number of delays this game will get.

Also, C'MON, INAFUNE.

Fuck this if true. I don't think I'll even play this game. Couldn't take the disappointment if it were a bad game. I'll sell my key on ebay or something and that will be it.

This game is going to review very poorly. It's not going to be some big epic like the amount of time it's taken to develop would have us believe, and everyone is going to shit on it as a result :(

You had a dream, Inafune. It was irresponsible of you to take that dream and try to manufacture 4 other dreams at the same time.

Sorry backers.

I backed it, and yes.

Though this is either a placeholder or the original date in another format until it shows up elsewhere.

Holy shit. I made a bet with someone yesterday morning saying the game was gonna be delayed to after Thanksgiving given the recent track record. About to go collect later today. Thanks Inafune!

Isn't that 12 Feb 2016, the original release date outside of the US?

That makes a lot more sense than the game getting a very specific release date that is 7 months out despite supposedly coming out within the next 2 months.

But it's MN9, anything is possible.

Since it's the US page, the format would be MM/DD/YYYY, so on that front, the December date would read correctly. Still, the date being a match for international date formats is a bit suspect.

EDIT: The article has an actual US detail listing separate from the Marketplace header, complete with the ESRB rating, so there is some goofy stuff going on here.
