Definitely my favourite back to back episodes. Could have been a three episode streak, but I hated that they made Arya get stabbed for no reason. The payoff was so worth it on the flipside as I was completely off guard with Walder Frey's scene. Didn't think she could still do that. I need to rewatch that scene pronto

was thinking a couple episodes ago that natalie dormer seemed way underused for the last season or two and i guess that makes more sense now

They pretty much had to invent things for her to do this season. They teased that she might have some more meaning to the plot to keep her somewhat interesting but in the end Marg was done the second she got thrown in that cell.

Probably already discussed, but they didn't light all of the wildfire that was supposedly under KL. There were allegedly caches under the red keep and elsewhere in the city. Maybe if/when the walkers overrun KL, team living activates their trap card?

I love you for this.

Maybe. But I can see her risking coming back to warn Jon of something she sees in the flames, be it a Littlefinger plot or the Night King hitting the The Wall.

You know, I could see this. We had that whole scene where Melisandre was seemingly reflecting on her failures, so I could see her "surprisingly" taking getting thrown out the right way in the end.

That was really magnificent. It was everything I wanted and more (Arya). I wish there was more Bran, though.

I'm looking forward to Arya's next stop.

Also: Jon and Daenerys will rule Westerns next season.

I thought the theory that Meera Reed was Jon's sister would be true but I guess not. I ship Meera and Bran again and this time it's incest free.

BTW.

The whole King of the North scene HOLY FUCK so well acted, directed and shot. Loved the cuts to LF face when he saw that shit was going south for his plans. Jons facial expressions along with Sansas were FANTASTIC. That music MY GOD THE CHILLS!!!

So why did Ned's sister whisper the name? Do we know what she said? We know who we think is the father, they jump straight to Jon from the baby, she is presumably the mother. So what is their to hide? Just makes me wonder if Jon's parentage is still up in the air.

Varys can go to Dorne and back, Jaime can get to King's Landing after feasting with Frey, but Brienne still hasn't made it back to Winterfell.

Also, I wonder if Arya will try to free Edmure.

It was done for pure impact for the 6 people who hadn't already pieced it together.

So is it called A Song of Ice and Fire because it's Jon's story with his Stark/Targaryen bloodline or is it a story of Jon and Daenerys?

I assume she only used what was already under the Sept. Assuming they decide to have Jaime be the one to kill Cersei, I can see her trying to destroy King's Landing once she sees Dany's entire army coming down on her. Prompting Jaime to become a King/Queen/Kinslayer.

Arya is the GOAT.
Jon KING IN THE NORTH isn't a bastard (how is he going to find out???)
Lady Mormont is bad ass.
Dorne + Dany + Tyrell...shits about to get real.

But I still don't care about Sam and Gilly...I'm sure he'll have some crucial informationa bout the white walkers...but I can't get interested in this sub-plot.

She was dying. It was more dramatic for her to whisper the secret of Jon's parentage while on her deathbed then to speak it outloud. The cut from baby to Jon was the direct confirmation.
