These guns aren't going to protect minorities from their current racist boogeymen any more than they protected republican gun nuts from the evil government.
Shooting someone is not an appropriate response to racist harrassment and I doubt there'll be a lot of incidents where owning a gun would truly protect someone from a hate crime.
If anything I expect more deaths from within-minority gun violence. Because that's what typically happens in the USA when there are more guns around (along with gun suicides)

This is strange to me as I thought we should have been buying guns for years now not just cause the climate changed but I have always been rather militant growing up the way I did. Also all the ranges and gun store I have ever visited have always been very diverse and that includes the big gun shows in the county. IDK , maybe people are scared. As long as they are responsible informed guns owners I say hop on, there's plenty of room.

There is this movement out there called "Black Guns Matter". I while I get what the founder is trying to do, I just remember him from selling bootleg CD's and DVD's on the train so its hard to take him seriously as an activist.

Solid choice. Not too expensive (sub 300) and make a very good "get the fuck outta my house" sound when you load the chamber. Keep it oiled and clear and get a lock if you have little ones or questionable family (I have both)

People like to gloss over this history and pretend Dr. King was a pacifist in all things. He just knew that armed resistance as a means of political change was impossible and not the correct course of action to change the laws.
