The game looks great, though I'm not sure about 2B's outfit.

One could perhaps make a convoluted argument in defense of Bayonetta 2's 'sexier' optional outfits, for example, based on Bayonetta's persona, but 2B's outfit appears to be even more 'thong-like' than any of Bayonetta's, and the front slit of her outfit manages to give even normal camera angles a creepy 'upskirt' vibe. Also, 2B's blindfold (as well as the fact that she's apparently an android) would seem counter to any 'persona'/Bayonetta-type defense, but perhaps folks here more knowledgeable about the characterization in this series can weigh in on that.

I would just note that there's a certain threshold beyond which it becomes hard to ignore stuff like this, for some players.

Yea, it's not something that anyone would necessarily feel pressed to defend. At least, I wouldn't. But damn it all, I can't lie, I love her design; to me it feels a tad more stylish than something that's just blatantly sexualized as say, Cindy from FFXV. That being said, it's clearly a strong aspect of the design nonetheless (After all, everyone notices those thighs and panty shots), so I wouldn't blame anyone for not wanting to get the game (or having their interest in it greatly decrease) as a result of it.

usually is stay away from calling out games GOTY, but i have a strong feeling this is going to be a top contender easily.

yeah, yoko taro+ platinum + that same composer from original nier + bravely default character designer. Nier itself despite the horrible IQ and mediocre gameplay is one of the hidden gem with an OST of the generation worthy sound work, now imagine Nier with that said issue solved

wouldn't expect anything less really. this is gonna kill February so bad

I'm sure it will perform fine, just like every other Platinum game. That is to say, it won't be a stable 60FPS. I'll be surprised if it is even on PS4P

Yup it really was a match made in Heaven. I was so happy at just the fact that we'd be getting a Nier 2, but the fact that they also brought Akihiko Yoshida and Platinum games along? Omg I almost had a heart attack.
