Episode VIII is "The Last Jedi"

"When gone am I.
The last of the Jedi you will be."

My guess: Rey is the last Jedi, because Luke is something else.

Nah. Reverse that.

We're already sans Sith. This is the Jedi exiting stage left. Whatever Rey learns will probably be focused on a different form of light side practice.

I mean, how can this go any other way than Luke dying?

Title doesn't nessesarily imply that. During TFA Luke is in fact the Last Jedi.

But chances are he nubs it in the but. I'm just not sure he'll do it in Episode VIII... We'll see in 11 months.

What's up with the "luke dies?" comments? Seems to me it would be a reference to Luke himself, which now that he's been "found" will be a more focal point of the next movie. He is after all the last Jedi that we know of in the movies.

Edit: to be clear I haven't kept up with any "rumors" or anything so I'm just going off of having watched the last movie.

I wanted the EP title to reference the enemy side since Attack of the Clones and The Empire Strikes Back do it, but it's a nice subtitle.

I really like it but it does seem odd considering the last title. A Force Awakens leads into The Last Jedi.

something seems off about it when put into the trilogy, stand alone though I love the title.

Rey dies.

Luke is the last Jedi standing.

Epic Luke vs. Kylo Ren fight.

Luke obliterates Ren.

Finn turns to the dark side. He was the real threat all along.

To be continued in Episode IX...

Oscar worthy.
I hope not

Kylo gonna take out another old hero for the second straight film leaving Rey as the Last Jedi.

Until Finn and Rey make that mixed Jedi baby........
