Fighting Tournament Weekend: Norcal Regionals CEO Dreamland Hypespotting 04/14-04/16

Momochi was really close. the gap is lessening

It seems like he is completely helpless whenever Punk scores a knockdown with pressure. Punk is also aware that Momochi is trying walk out of throw's and shimmy's since he's catching him with a lot of raw low forward > Tenko. Punk got lit up by those left right mix ups, but he did fine on wake up. So once Momochi ran out of meter for EX kunai Punk was good.

That sequence towards the end reminded me of the one time I faced Toxi(a top Australian player) in casuals during EVO 2011. He was trying to do all his sexy frame traps, stutters, delayed normals, and so on. All I did was hold down back like Chris G did. We played FT3 though and he started throwing me a lot. I know you really wanted a sexy confirm into super to finish the match but maybe sometimes you should just take the throw and move on.

Fuudo gotta be strongest in Japan, surprised Haitani didn't make it past top 16. Fuudo said Punk is the strongest in the world atm?
Fuudo said that because Punk bodied him couple of nights ago. All those top dudes, the skill gap isn't really big. One day it could be Punk, another day it could be Fuudo, another day it could be Xian. The field is wide open if you ask me.

Fuudo is for sure the most consistent out of all these guys tho. I'm not sure if it's because of his competition or that his brain operates at a higher level.

I think Punk is going to take this tournament. He is on fire right now and he might have already played the biggest obstacle in his way in Momochi. That match was amazing.

It's i just noticed there is no CPT tournaments in Japan this year at all, it's like capcom doesn't care about their Homeland anymore.

Still waiting for the arcade version

Fighting games are DEAD

Nah, just the negativity around SF5 making people less inclined to give it a viewing.

Why watch something when all you heard about it aren't that great? The drop is no doubt attributed to more casual viewers giving it a pass.

Was Pokken suppose to start an hour ago?

"TeamSp00ky : we're streaming pokken on /ennymura"

There was also some sort of delay.

Same stupid self-fulfilling prophecy that the Starcraft 2 community damaged itself with. "Dead game, dead game!" ad nauseum, viewership declines slightly, "SEE! TOLD YOU! DEAD GAME!" Rinse and repeat.

SF4 looks so robotic and stilted in this old footage. Definitely not something I'd ever be interested in going back to.

I know. Looks like an NRS game to me now lol. The pro level zoning and footsies in that game was also a snooze fest judging by those clips.
