I really liked Season 1, especially Patton Oswalt's performance.
Hoping they fix the engine for this ga...... who the hell am I kidding, it's probably gonna be a mess.
Edit: No PS3 and 360 version ? here's hoping the lack of last-gen console compatibility lets them do more focused optimization ..

Had me and the wife all teary eyed too, was such a great moment and really stuck with me.

It's for the best. I had the misfortune of playing Batman's first episode on PS3. Well, for 20 minutes at least. It ran at sub 15 FPS and around 480p based on how bad the image quality was.

If Guardians and Walking Dead S3 are an example, yes, they will. Though the mobile versions are more to blame for the problems of the past.
Unlike every other license Telltale has had the chance to work on, there's really not much of a universe to draw upon in Minecraft for narrative purposes. Given how instrumental the LP/streaming community has been in getting awareness for the game out there, pulling from them and their personalities to flesh out the world is not the worst thing imaginable.

I'd say speak with your wallets. I definitely am not jumping in until I know that their games can actually run well.

That's the coolest part to me
Despite not really knowing anything about the Minecraft Youtubers in S1, I found that their inclusion was fun (the whole veering into murder mystery bit was great.)
I liked Season 1 a lot, and so if they have a better engine I'd be happy paying full price. If not, going to just wait until the complete season is $10 again like last time.
I think it shows a massive lack of creativity on Telltale's part to do that.

I think that's the opposite. They went out and got the community involved I see no downside to that unless I just wanna be cynical

Well the first season was horrifically dull so, nope from me.
For something as community driven as Minecraft has been, it feels appropriate, even if it's distinctly out of the norm for nearly anything else out there.

I mean would you launch the sequel two weeks after launching the first? Seems they would cut into sales of each other. Better to wait and release season 2 a few months later during the holidays.
I need to pick up the first on Wii U.
S1 on Switch is launching only after July 11.

Really liked the Minecraft story mode. It was a bit of a slow burn for the first two episode but after that it got good. Especially the second part where they were dimension traveling. As someone who doesnt know about the minecraft YT community I thought there inclusion was pretty good.

No, this is its own thing. It's a story set in the Minecraft universe, but it's not Minecraft in terms of its gameplay and aims.

Minecraft is fine i'm honestly glad to see more of it it was a cute fun little adventure series.
No way? How is that possible? The actual game is 1080p 60fps..........it's not like the story Edition is much of a looker
Telltale isn't known for their engine optimizations, to put it mildly.

It's odd thiugh, how do these games even run on iOS and Android then if they're so bad on the Xbox One?
About as well as you imagine now. Their games run poorly on even high-end PCs that should brute force them to pristine condition otherwise. They really don't care at all.

So, Telltale makes their own engine for Minecraft Story Mode? I thought they were just scripting some story segments onto the original Minecraft engine.
