Fuck its actually 25 minutes wtf nintendo
Hopefully they will unload most of the already announced game to the Treehouse Live
I like to keep expectations low so:
Key Reveals= Release dates (e.g. Mario in November, Xenoblade 2 in 2018)
First Looks = Rabbids have costumes if Mario characters, app lets you chat with people in Splatoon 2.
Reggie was Ninjara. They were playing on opposite sides of the screen.Reggie is awful. No grab spam? no dodging?
Yeah Code Vein is not coming to Switch

Why is Nintendo so bad at hyping their E3 stuff : (
Is gonintendo a banned site? Reggie said there will be a lot of love for the 3DS and majority of the spotlight is for Mario Odyssey and key reveals.
I don't expect more than 5-7 games in the spotlight.

He said Spotlight is going to be fast paced and have number of first looks alongside with focus in Mario Odyssey. First hour Treehouse is also going to have some new game reveals.

COMING SPRING 2018
A NETFLIX ORIGINAL SERIES only watchable on 3ds
DETECTIVE PIKACHU
Long conferences/Directs are the worst. The Xbox presser reminded me why I almost never watch these things anymore.
I don't care how much Nintendo has to show on Tuesday. Whether it's five games or fifty, I'm very happy the Spotlight is short.
i fixed that for you
And the Treehouse with announce/debut things, like they do every year.
And the Treehouse with announce/debut things, like they do every year.
I would like to see the Spotlight be a rapid-fire mashup. 25 games in 25 minutes set to an straight fire orchestral and chip-tune opera medley of Nintendo's most famous themes. Reveals. First looks. Highlights. A message from my mom. Everything you could ever want.
Then at the end, it's a hard cut to black. Is it over? Suddenly, a sound. A voice. And some music. It is ever so quiet, like a breeze through a lilac bush.
"Hello there!" says the voice.
"Welcome to the world of Pokémon! My name is Oak! People call me the Pokémon Professor!"
The figure comes into view. It's Professor Oak, performed by American actor David Duchovny.
"This world is inhabited by creatures called Pokémon! For some people, Pokémon are pets. Other use them for fights. Myself I study Pokémon as a profession."
Professor Oak discharges a Poké Ball. A Pikachu appears.
There is beat of silence.
"And just who are you supposed to be?" says the Pikachu, voiced by the unmistakable Danny Devito.

What kind of stuff did they announce in the past few years? I remember them doing so, but can't think of the titles at the moment

Excuse me. You are murdering my fantasy. Please refrain from bringing me paralyzing sadness unless absolutely necessary.
Yeah and I love this format, because it's easy to tune out for awhile when they're showing something I'm not interested in.
Highly unlikely but I hope for Xenoblade X port for Switch.
I think that was announced before E3, it just never got a date, just "We'll bring it over"Rhythm Heaven Megamix for one.

If I had to guess, it's that most developers in general are still on the fence about the Switch, and want about a year to see how it and their games do. After all, Nintendo is coming off the heels of a console that not only bombed commercially, but also damaged its reputation with developers. The Switch needs to gain more traction for them in order to fully commit. The number of Japanese games not coming to Switch is pretty surprising. I'm not sure why Nintendo couldn't secure more support from Japan.
