Except Piccolo was the one who said it in the anime in the Resurrection 'F' Saga.
Goku repeats the comment in the anime there too.

Also, Goku wasn't critical in the anime. He just told Vegeta how it is about Gohan.
He uses the exact same words in the anime and manga for that quote, including calling Gohan "Benkyou Baka", it's just his expression that's different. Any differences of wording you've seen for that are just due to different translators.

Manga Super Goku also had 'idiot' moments like him saying that he never kiss Chi-Chi (which fan put in the stupid column) along with getting a porn coupon for the Evil Containment Wave.

The first one goes into the relationship stuff which I mentioned above. The second one is pretty much the only example you can bring up from the manga, and people were already complaining about stupid Goku a long time before he forgot the seal in the anime.

The Earth wasn't even in danger in the Champa Saga. All the characters pointed out that even if they lose, the Earth would just be moved and it isn't a big deal.

lol I just realized if Champa won and the Earth got moved Future Trunks would've come back and seen the U6 Earth and get screwed.

Yeah, Iooked. He did mentioned Gohan missing his gi.

I wasn't talking about wording, I was using his tone when he said it. Manga Goku is clearly disappointed and it shows in his body language, while Anime Goku seemed almost amused and makes a gesture that says, 'it is how it is'. So it maybe the same words, but the delivery are different.

The first one goes into the relationship, true, and I don't count that as 'Goku being an idiot' but everyone else does for reasons. The different again is how the two mediums present it. In the manga, Goku seems annoyed at the idea of kissing Chi-Chi, while the anime it almost reads like a misunderstanding happened. You can either read it that Goku is saying he never fed a Senzu through someone's mouth, he never kiss his wife on the mouth, or he doesn't understand why he would even kiss his wife. The anime plays Goku as being naive or misunderstanding Vegeta's question, while manga Goku has a more recoil reaction.

Anime Goku may have 'forgetting' the seal, but Roshi literally never gave it to Goku despite him talking to him for several minutes before leaving. In the manga, somehow Goku grabbed the wrong thing. Although, I still put some blame on Roshi in the manga since why didn't he just stick the seal on the jar or even write it on the side?

Also related to God being dumb, Goku got motion sickness several times from the time machine, including the trip when they escaped from Zen'o, when it only happened once to Anime Goku. To be sure, motion sickness is not related to being smart and dumb and this is a really stupid thing to complain about, but people were all over Anime Goku's ass for motion sickness so I thought I mention the manga.

Manga Goku also took the entire situation with Black and Zamasu even more lightly than Anime Goku. For one, he tries to spare Future Zamasu several times, didn't seem to really care Black stole his body, and both Goku and Vegeta treated Merged Zamasu like a game since they took turns. Again, this isn't related to intelligence, but fans brings this up as a strike as Goku being dumb too, so I thought I would mention it.

I hope Hit is not eliminated today.
He needs to survive and feel Vegeta's wrath later on in his revenge, It'll be another amazing beat down by Geets.

He does mention the seal to Goku though, and then both just forget afterwards.

In the manga, somehow Goku grabbed the wrong thing. Although, I still put some blame on Roshi in the manga since why didn't he just stick the seal on the jar or even write it on the side?

Yeah, he picked the "seal" and somehow didn't look at what he had gotten until he was using it, which is pretty dumb too.

Also related to God being dumb, Goku got motion sickness several times from the time machine, including the trip when they escaped from Zen'o, when it only happened once to Anime Goku. In the manga, the motion sickness is specifically noted as happening when Goku looked outside in time machine. It only happened in the first trip and then the last one since was holding onto it from outside.

Manga Goku also outright told Vegeta to kill Black once Trunks pointed out that he was planning something while Vegeta beat him up, rather than playing around with him until he powered up like anime Goku did, and he tried to stop Black's and Zamasu's fusion rather than just watching it. He played around with Future Zamasu since in the manga he wasn't even at Trunks' level.

They took turns against Merged Zamasu in the sense that each one attacked at once by themselves and then afterwards stood up to try again separately. The only "formal" turn that they take afterwards is Goku telling Vegeta to step aside and let him handle it, which makes sense considering how he still has a senzu at that point and there is the Mastered SSB reveal in the next chapter.

What if Vegeta gets a transformation
where his hair goes down?
is it possible I'm the first to imagine this, cause of all the stupid what if forms I don't think I've ever seen that

I am not saying that Goku is a normal family man

just saying that Goku loves Gohan as a son

Goten is a companion; Gohan is his son

(although he seems to be warming up to Goten too)
I've been rereading the manga and this is definitely true regardless of what Toriyama said in that interview.

He mentioned the seal at the end of Episode 62 and went to make it. In the next episode, Goku is holding the jar talking to Roshi and thanking him. The entire time, Roshi never gave him the seal. And like I pointed out, Roshi could have stuck the seal o the jar or written the seal directly on the pot like Kami did back in the 23rd tournament. Which is why I said Roshi is partly to blame in both versions, although a bit more in the anime since at least Goku grabbed something in the manga.

True, but in the anime Goku didn't get motion sickness even on the last trip when he was hanging on for dear life. Again, motion sickness has nothing to do with intelligence and I personally get peeved when people hold this against Goku, but people used this to say Goku is dumb.

Goku really shouldn't have to tell Vegeta to kill Black since Vegeta is more ruthless than him and he got upset when Vegeta revealed that Goku wasn't going to get a turn regardless. I will give Goku points for trying to stop the fusion, but that is kind of undermined by the fact that Vegeta became the dumb one in that scene since he apparently forgot what fusion was and didn't know what was going on. So Goku became smarter there, while Vegeta became the dumb one.

As for Future Zamasu not being strong, that really isn't the point. The point was, Goku played with Zamasu and gave him a chance to walk away. Remember, this same fanbase got on Goku's ass for playing with Black when they first met despite Black being noticeably weaker than Goku and the fought only stalled after Black got sucked through the portal again. Goku also never offered any of them the chance to just walk away. Even before he learned about his family, he was trying to kill Black and Zamasu to the point of blowing up Zamasu's head.

Again, this isn't really related to Goku being dumb, Imo, but fans put this in the Goku is stupid column.

They took turns since after Vegeta refused to fused, Goku went to fight Merged Zamasu, while Vegeta waited literally waited on the side. This is after Merged Zamasu smashed them, making this scene even dumber. It become even dumber since Goku could have used Mastered Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan at that point, especially since he didn't know he only had to run the clock, so him going all out would make sense. Also, both of them saying no to fusion against a fused being who wasted them, is against both of Goku and Vegeta's characters shown in the Buu Saga. Goku only didn't fused against Kid Buu since he wasn't a fusion himself anymore. Against Super Buu Gohan absorbed, Goku not only wanted to fused, he begged Vegeta to see reason. So him just giving up when Vegeta said no to fusion is OOC for him.

Long story short, my point was that Manga Goku has more than one 'dumb' moment and fans are not just taking the sins of Anime Goku and putting them into Manga Goku, most of them anyway. Most of the problems people have with Anime Goku are in the Super manga, to a greater extent in some cases. Although, I will say that Anime Goku has more out there moments, mostly for comedy sake.

Now, I don't personally agree with most of them, except Goku and Vegeta took Black. Future Zamasu, and Merged Zamasu far more lightly than their anime counterparts, who regularly got blasted for not being serious. But I blamed that mostly on Black, Future Zamasu, and Merged Zamasu being such jokes in the manga, although Goku and Vegeta not working together and not fusing in the manga really was dumb and not in-character for either of them giving their development.

Well, Goku treats Krillin like his brother, yet he's just a comrade according to Toriyama. So I take what Toriyama meant as Goku doesn't draw a line between friends and family, they're the same to him. So, he loves everyone equally.

I think the characterization on this has been inconsistent on the whole, but Goku's willingness to abandon ANY attachment for years and years leads me to believe Toriyama.

He doesn't really feel familial bonds the same way as other characters do. With the possible exception of his grandpa Gohan.

This honestly made me laugh and I honestly wouldn't be shock.

To be fair, they didn't visit him either until years went by.

Goku can teleport

he can visit anyone literally by thinking of his friends

on the other hand, if Goku goes to kaioh-sama to train for a few years, nobody can reach him short of wishing to the dragon

I hope Hit's jobbing is as exaggerated as 17's assumed jobbing from the last 2 eps!

I think he needs to job. He's OP in a tournament like this.
No one on his team can really fall out of the ring if he uses his time skip to save them. It's just easier to write him out now from that perspective, otherwise you have issues like Botamo vs. Gohan where Hit did nothing.

Was it the Ocean Dub that implied Vegeta killed Goku's grandfather? That was the first dub I saw of DBZ, and it was before I saw Dragon Ball, so I kind of accepted that as what happened until I saw DB and the funi dub where Goku accepts he killed his grandfather, and then that really bothered me as a huge fuck up.

Doesn't change the fact that they can see him, especially since he's on his farm most of the time in Super.

Needs to be edited for DBFZ for all these Super characters (that aren't Hit, Black or Beerus) that obviously won't be in the game that people keep bringing up.
Not really. They might not show up now, but they have a chance as DLC or in a future revision of the game.

I'm talking about the base game.
You didn't mention at launch though. Still, I'm really hoping we'll get to see more Super characters in a future revision of the game, getting characters like Kale, Jiren, Caulifla, Toppo and Super's 17 would be amazing.
