Is that pic taken after or before Bloodborne?

After.

I think this will be the worst TGS in quite a long time for Sony. From E3 it was pretty obvious that they had blown their load for this year and the coming one.

I'm going to PSX and not expecting a great keynote there either.

They said they intentionally held stuff back to not enough them so far in advance anymore. This TGS can't be worst than last years'.

The sort of content that gets shown at E3 is wildly different than what gets shown at TGS and is hardly any indication of what to expect.

i took them at e3 as a show to just show off some big games. Looking at last PSX, it's obvious that's their big show now for announcing new games.

That being said, they have 3 shows left this year..
if you are a fan of Japanese games you'll usually like tgs. I don't watch it expecting to see dmc 5 or nothing.. just to see what Sony Japan, Sega and square are up too. Although, Sega are running out of Yakuza games.

Most of my wishes and dreams go to the slightest possibility of playing Skies of Arcadia on a current gen system, or DQ8: HD. If those games ever came to PS4 , the PS4 would be the greatest system of all of eternity.

Don't expect too much guys and enjoy he show.

Please Sony, is has been years since Freedom Wars released and there is NOTHING new, not even an expansion. I just want Freedom Wars 2 to be announced, I already got all the entitlements so I need something to keep playing.

I think they held back because they expected Xbox to take all the headlines.

I reckon if they knew how lame Microsofts E3 game lineup was, they would have made more of an effort.

(not that I thought either conference was terrible or anything)

Freedom Wars and Soul Sacrifice are probably dead :/

yeah Sony, you own a part of Dimps too you know, it wouldn't hurt to use them once in a while

Give Freedom Wars the Gravity Rush treatment. A PS4 remaster AND a sequel

On a similar note, Fatal Bullet which is also by Dimps, looks good, and seems to take some mechanics directly from Freedom Wars. Hope we see more of that soon.

I'm always disappointed when conference hype threads lack a countdown.

I can't express how much I appreciate what they did with Gravity Rush. It obviously didn't sell a notable amount but they made another fan out of me. Love Kat and GR.

Honestly, they should do it with more Vita games. Freedom Wars and Soul Sacrifice are what I want the most.

Another year of having my hopes crushed wanting a Legend of Dragoon remake. I'd also love to see:

A new .hack// reveal (to compliment the collection coming out soon)
Ni no Kuni remaster *with updated AI for PS4
Bloodborne 2 or new IP from FromSoft
DMC5

ArtHands

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch
Freedom Wars and Soul Sacrifice are probably dead :/

And Inafune was rather stupid to attempt to pitch a sequel for Vita to Sony

They should have up port it to PS4 and PC. And you can add Switch now to the port candidate

I think they're done there , tried it with gravity rush and teraway both bombed

That worked out for me. Busted my knee so out for a bit and the show starts at 8am so should be easy to make time for it. Here's hoping there's at least one nice reveal.

Or SIEA screwed up and completely misunderstood why 2016 was such a great show, both in terms of the format and the content. Aside from the VR segment, they didn't seem interested at all in anything that wasn't AAA and it showed.

So I have no idea why anyone would use E3 to argue that TGS won't have anything. Sure, it might be a terrible conference but it won't be for that reason. Games that've been announced at TGS before, like Gravity Rush 2, Nioh, Yakuza 6 and even Kingdom Hearts 2.8 were all well below the threshold of what SIEA deemed worthy of making it into their E3 conference.

Last E3 was a shitshow compared to previous two years. Ni No Kuni II, GT Sports, Everybody's Golf, Hidden Agenda, and Undertale relegated to pre-conference.

I don't think they misunderstood. They've more than likely changed how they want to reveal their major content. E3 will still get some of it but I think they want to prop up PSX as well.

Edit - Well, I'll give you the format thing. It is fine if they wanted to shift more importance to PSX in terms of major content. However, that also means their E3 should have been more subdued. They tried to do the big opening thing again and it didn't work because the content didn't match the attempted spectacle.

Debating staying up for the conference or not.

Have class at 12:00 on Tuesday, so it's not like I need to get up super early.

Remember staying up for the one 3 years ago and giving up half way through because it was frontloaded with trailers we had already seen, from E3, and I had classes as early as 9:00.

Think 2015's I made it through all of it because of how well paced it was, was barely anything in it I didn't enjoy.

Bread stealing simulator confirmed.

With 3DS dying, I think a lot of former handheld-only can show up on the PS4 (and Switch obviously), so I'm pretty excited for this year TGS.
And I say this as someone who had 0 hype in the last 3-4 TGS's

Think the opposite, tbh. They even said they held back a ton of stuff, and booked extra conferences this year, so if anything, it seems like they're confident in having enough to show for all of them.

Games I want to see

- new SRW game
- new Gundam game
- update on 13 Sentinels
- more Cave shmups
- new monsters in Monster Hunter World
- new Armor Core
- new ip from Sony Japan

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. When I was talking about content, I wasn't talking about major announcements, I was talking about the complete and utter lack of indie and AA games during that conference. There's no reason why Undertale, Superhot (especially as one of the best VR games), Ni no Kuni 2, Hidden Agenda and especially GT Sport, should've been relegated to the pre-show like tiebreaker said above. Instead they treated them poorly and created the perception to some people that they were somehow downsizing their indie efforts, when that isn't the case at all as far as we're aware.

But moving on to your point, I don't buy the idea that they're holding things back to prop up PSX. I think people are over-estimating how much of a major show PSX will be moving forward. Last year's PSX was incredible but Sony wanted to unveil TLOU2 at E3, not PSX. Naughty Dog were the ones who made that happen at PSX. So expecting Sony to then turn around and announce Sucker Punch's new IP or some other AAA first party game at PSX is a big leap.

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
I just want 13 Sentinels and something from Square Enix.
