Max contracts depend on all star selections now. I'm kinda surprised the union approved that.

Edit: oh, entry is still based on conference, that makes sense.

Like the ASG changes but still hate how they kept the rosters to 12 east / 12 west. Zero reason to keep that if the conferences dont actually matter for the ASG rosters themselves. I guess they don't want 5 players from the east and 19 from the west but shrug.

Last year's leading getters (fan vote) were LeBron and KD, though.

KD picks Kyrie, LeBron picks YNB.

I would have loved to see how it would break down if we didn't have to worry about conferences. Would DeRozen make it? Hayward? Whiteside? Embiid? It'd be a toss up if it was just the 24 best players but now all are a shoe-in (barring injury).

And out West, there's a chance awesome players like Paul George, Jimmy Butler, and Lillard don't even make it because of the ridiculous amount of talent.

I would love to see the 50 best players on the court with LeBron and Durant chosing who they want pick by agonizing pick. Now that would have been good theater.

It's gonna be Lebron and Curry again. Curry will just choose KD, Klay, Draymond and first time all-star Nick Young and let Lebron have everyone else. And the West will still win.

Yeah I'm not sure why NBA would do this...you are sort of obligated to choose teammates if they are available which isn't all that interesting. And, yes, warriors starting 5 would steamroll any all star team.

It is pretty awkward. I would want no part of being captain and having to choose certain guys over others.

If I'm captain I'd just have guys draw straws (or some other random form of selection) - honestly who cares how good your team is? It wouldn't be worth any drama for me.

And this same lineup managed to come back down 14 points in the 3rd quarter against the Pelicans starters and win the game with the bench players. I don't know what the hell is going on. They went like 12 - 0 unanswered in the 3rd.

On a good note, Justin Holiday was cooking the Pelicans. He looked like a completely different player when he was with the Knicks. But the Bulls defense is really bad.

as a Wolves fan, there was no hype for Dunn. he is a good defender and a shitty shooter and ball handler. hopefully he can be an avery bradley esque player with less offense. he's also a year older than Lavine lol

Lol. So Golden State starting Zaza would beat a lineup of Westbrook Leonard George Lebron and Davis/Porzingis with both teams actually trying. Nah.

Frank looks better than Sessions and Jack, both of which are pure doo-doo. Looked nervous and stiff on offense but played good defense. A couple of turnovers and looked lost at times mainly due to communication issues, but still managed to recover defensively b/c of his length. Could have had 2-3 more assists if Kanter didn't botch like 3 layups lol.

Would hope that Frank starts the season but I could also see Baker the shot maker starting as well. All I know is that the tank is gonna roll and we're gonna like it =)
