Games that haven't been remastered....but deserve to be!

Definitely Mass Effect 1. Not only would I like to see it remastered, but also have its gameplay overhauled. The combat has always been far too simplistic.

Also Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodline, one of my favorite games back from 2004. Everything about it feels incredibly outdated. I also hate that I have to rely on unofficial patches to actually make the damn game work.

The Resistance series holds a special place in my heart. I drifted away after the SNES and missed the N64 and PS1 and while I played a lot of PS2, at the time for me shooters were a PC only affair. My wife bought me a PS3 along with RFOM and it was my first console shooter and the series always stuck with me. I would definitely love them updated, especially 3 because I thought the image quality of that game in particular was pretty blurry but the game was great otherwise.

Warhawk is still amazing but like any competitive game, if you dont play it for years you just get destroyed coming back and the people that still play are so good that it makes it not as fun. Add in all the remaining glitches and it's a bad experience to go back to these days. This is probably my favorite competitive game of all time and I'd be super happy to have a freshened up version.

Looking at some of the other replies, I'd definitly pick up a lot of what's mentioned, but these are my main two.

Fallout New Vegas in F4's engine.

Which, as luck would have it, is actually a thing, albeit from fans - so it's probably going to be many years before we actually get to play it.

Knights of the Old Republic. The game mechanics have aged pretty well and the story/world are still great but man the hoops you need to jump through to just get it running at 1080p is lame.

Eh, the game mechanics seemed pretty archaic to me when I tried playing this game again just a few weeks ago.

Vampire : The Masquerade - Bloodlines deserves a remake or remaster. One of the greatest games ever made

I'm going to go for some PS2 rpg's, the Shadow Hearts trilogy and the XenoSage games. Hell even just releasing them as PS2 classics on PS4 would be enough for me.

There is a lot of SEGA games that deserve a rework, i mean a fresh game for the next gen.

Jet Set Radio

Crazy Taxi

Virtua Fighter

Virtua Tennis

Nights

SEGA Rally

Metropolis Street Racer

Outrun

Sonic Adventure

Sonic Adventure 2

Sonic Heroes

Shinobi

Alex Kidd

Phantasy Star

Ecco the Dolphin

Skies of Arcadia

Shenmue 1 & 2
...

Fallout 3 doesn't need it, it's X-enhanced with increased settings and native 4K on Xbox One X.

In the digital age I don't think games should be re-mastered any more. I would prefer more games to become backwards compatible and more games enhanced through backwards compatibility so that my physical(and digital) library of previous generation games become more valued.
This strikes me as a tad bit selfish. Are you also against reprinting books, or releasing movies on Bluray?

Demon's Souls
Folklore
Puppeteer (a simple 1080p re-release for Ps4 would be enough, no need to waste time enhancing graphical details)
Lego Indiana Jones (Won't somebody please think of the children!)

Kid Icarus Uprising :
The biggest issue with this game was the controls which could be reworked on the switch since you have 2 analog sticks and 2 button on the top.
In HD and with some updated textures it would also look amazing And the multiplayer, which was surprisingly good, could be expanded

Skies of Arcadia would also be awesome. I'll honestly even take a 1080p port. But remastered visuals and a lower rate of random encounters (or some bravely default style slider) would be amazing

Red Dead Redemption(though I think this *will* eventually happen...wouldn't be surprised to see it debut and be available right before RDR2 or as a "bonus" of some sort. Preorder? Pack in?)
Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2
MDK
Ghosts and Goblins
Battlefield 1942

-Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on current consoles and PC. The original collection on last gen was only 720p and it didn't run solid 60 fps.
-MGS4
-Mafia II

Red Alert 3, Burnout 3, Burnout Revenge.

Literally any Burnout game other than the open world map reading simulator garbage that is Burnout Paradise.

Definitely GTA IV!
To this date it's my favorite game of the series, but some parts of it have aged badly. I would love a remastered version of IV, including all DLC of course, with enhanced visuals, stable 60 fps (on console), updated controls and shooting mechanics and added smaller QoL improvements such as proper Autosave, shorter loading times etc.
In my opinion, many people have a much too negative opinion on GTA IV and I feel, that a remastered and improved version of the game would help improve the general perception of the game as well as give a huge number of new players a chance to play it for the first time since GTA V has sold significantly more copies than its predecessor.
This. Would be awesome to be able to play it on PS4. I tried the Xbox 360 version recently and it hasn't aged very well. The graphics look blurry and draw distance isn't very good.

A ton of jRPG's on PS2. Xenosaga, Suikoden, Dark Cloud, Wild Arms, Shadow Hearts. I could go on all day, but you get the point. If .hack g.u can get remastered really there is no excuse the others cant be remastered.

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
GTAIV isn’t a bad choice if they implemented the save features of GTAV.

My original list should have included Demons Souls.

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes

It should be released in HD on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Capcom released Resident Evil remake that was originally a Gamecube exclusive just like this on all consoles few years ago so there might be a chance. They could include the original PS1 version and this so everyone would be happy.

Nintendo Own that Version Plus SKs gone

Especially since there's no PC version. It's forever stuck on last-gen consoles :(

You have a Point

I'm against it when there is not also the option to play/use your old media on newer hardware like you can continue doing with other forms of physical/digital media. My Bluray player still plays my DVDs from 15+ years ago.

Failing to see how I'm being selfish...

Are you sure? They didn't own Resident Evil remake that was a Gamecube exclusive just like The Twin Snakes. It was released in HD on other consoles and PC. The HD version didn't even come any Nintendo console. The deal could have been similar.

Just borrowed PSVR from a colleague and have had quite fun with it so far, but I have to wonder...

why Dead Space Extraction VR isn't a thing already?

Here's hoping the XBOX BC team is smart enough to give the 4k treatment to the Fable series. throw in some HDR if you can and those games, 2 in particular, will shine well, i think
