Not really sure how Betheada embarrassed themselves. I attended the briefing and had a good time. Two new IPs, more DOOM goodness and more content for the Bethesda's fans. Not sure what people honestly expect from a publisher when we are 1.5 years away from new generation of consoles. Elder Scrolls 6 and Star Field were confirmed last year for the sake of fans concerned and confirmation of rumors and people are bitching that none of the that showed up. The hypocrisy and double standard is real.

And yeah I am not buying that idea. Sony did not win anything. They did another trailer for a game that we still dont really understand how it plays and nothing really crazy as far as third person action game mechanics go. While it does look interesting it's only 1 of their games. Days Gone was not well recieved and was a buggy mess. Last great PS4 title was God of War and this is coming from someone whose 2 game of the generations are Bloodborne and God of War.

After that everything else just died down. Haven't played spiderman simply because I am not into Spiderman himself as a character/comic. My last game that I will play and love and be done with my ps4 is The Last of Us 2.

I have been watching E3 since 2004 and in all that time 2013 scared me a bit the last 2 years troubled me but as of today this is the worst fucking E3 I have seen. Gamers seem to burned out to the bullshit too.

I actually think if this is how they gonna pull this off from now on then not going is the future.

The greediness is going to be the death knell for me as a gamer.

The funny thing is all the cmpanies have to do during their 60-90 minute time slot is show a bunch of good clips of games. And it's not even the whole time because there's always filler time of people doing mini-speeches, presenters walking on and off the stage, and useless filler like "Hey, here's a Forza Lego car!"

So the actual amount of time to show pre-made clips of games is probably more like 45 minutes for a 60 minute show, and 75 minutes for a 90 minute show.

It's amazing how these companies can't round up good clips to fill the time.

I don't remember E3 shows going back to 2004, but over the past 10 years, look at all the trash we've seen:

- music bands playing music
- people getting on stage to do cornball motion control clips, where it seems like most of them are faked
- anything to do with Sony's E3 2018 show
- hiring celebrities to do shitty presentations
- Bethesda wasting 10 minutes showing employee morale statements
- totally scripted MP gaming dialogue where they all talk to each other like it's a big time coordinated effort (UBI does it the most)

Is it that hard to just show a slew of good game videos, info about new systems coming, and info on new features (like detailing Game Pass Ultimate with PC)?

Had I not seen any leaks, I would have lost my shit with the Elden Ring announcement and the new Tales game. Either way, I don't think Microsoft's was bad...but it was nothing special. Bethesda and Ubisoft were straight out bad though.

Well, Sony had nothing this year so they saved themselves a lot of money and spared us a couple of hours of boredom. Everyone wins, and they walk away not any better or worse then where they were a week ago while still maintaining excitement for what they have to offer in the coming months.

This E3 brought me Keanu Reeves in one of the best reveals ever.

I also can't wait for Giant Bomb at night. Hopefully they'll have another one on one with Phil Spencer. I'm also hopeful that they'll have AJ Styles and Prince Pretty with Xavier this year.

I'm a huge Sony fan but saying they won because they didn't show up is like saying that the ones that did show up somehow harmed the public just by being there.

It was a regular E3 (might be the last). Cool games announced, some leaked before and Keanu Reeves was amazing and unexpected. Of course, showing new hardware is always exciting but it happens once every 6 years (3-4 if you count hw revisions).

Personally got what I was waiting for.

Honestly, Nintendo has carried the whole of e3 for me for the last 3-4 years. The directs are always great and I literally watch the entirety of Treehouse Live. Pretty much just all nintendo for 3 days, not including their regular tournament day.

They had an opportunity to really floor the competition but it's clear they don't have their shyt in order yet. I guess it's fine long as it's ready for next gen, but I gotta feeling since Halo is a launch title, that it's basically gonna buy the newer studios more time...maybe another year to release their info. E3 2020 will be amazing.

Game companies wasting time showing CGI renders is stupid, but they do it because gamers ooooh and ahhhh about them.

Imagine if car companies at auto shows had a bunch of reps showing visitors art renders by a designer from 3 years ago, than showing....... the actual car.
