Peolple can blame China but my guess is that nothing will happen....I mean the only response jas been called it the "China virus"
Why US companies do not move factories outside China , maybe because they are no longer US companies or they follow the money no matter what happens.

My bet China will be stronger after Corona ...

Oh I highly doubt that. There was already moving manufacturing to Singapore or Korea before this covid stuff.
And after this crisis ends, china is gonna feel it. And that's good. Fuck technocratic communism they got going on there.

You seem really insecure about the possibility of having a firm opinion on a subject (whatever that might be, if indeed there is one) and allowing others to do the same. Seems very ‘cancel culture’, which surprises me on an open forum like this.

In my calculation, we are now heading towards the worst in London. My observation is that London started to get more quiet on the week of 16 March with people voluntarily isolating, and the full lockdown started on 23 March.

Assuming that coronavirus incubates for a week, and kills in three weeks on average, next week’s deaths originate from infections four weeks ago, from the week of 9 March, the last week people went on about life “as usual”. Thus I would expect the deaths to peak next week, on the Easter week of 6-12 April.

I expect the week of 13 April to be our first glimmer of hope in UK, reflecting the first week of people voluntarily distancing, but the effect won’t be massive. The week of 20 April should see a dramatic turnaround in UK deaths, and triumph of the isolation.

They don’t need to be separate. China have behaved disgracefully, but that doesn’t mean the Brazilian President doesn’t deserve huge criticism. Whether it’s President Trump, President Sanders, Prime Minister Johnson, or Prime Minister Corbyn, no leader or government is beyond criticism if it’s deserved. It’s the partisan lemmings that protect their dear leader no matter what the evidence is that make this political.

It’s well beyond politics. Left, right, middle, it doesn’t matter. People just want people to be protected. I don’t care who people voted for, I just want governments to protect all of us, and if they’re not doing that they deserve to be criticised, whether I voted for them or not.

China being the cause doesn’t absolve governments from how they handle the effects.

End of my workday.. we're +79,100 cases and +5,790 deaths worldwide (worldometers).

US is +29,227 cases and +781 deaths (worldometers)

Easter is April 12th, I remember some people poo-poo'ing the 2000 US deaths/day by Easter. Do you think we'll get there? A 1% CFR at this point would get us there already (though there is trailing time).

BNO is reporting 6000 deaths...

Oh I know. I got up here 2 weeks ago and already had been buying shit back in February when it broke out of China. Still got a lot of food/supplies on hand, no trips to the grocery store. It's also been over 2 weeks so I'm fairly certain I'm not infected. Also I'm young and in good health so if I did happen to catch it, the odds are in my favour I won't require hospitalization.

I didn't panic and run up here, I had been planning it well in advance.

For me that signals tens of thousands of infected people. How can you infect so many different places otherwise? A Dr. or nurse surely don't have 20 residences to go to?

Actually they do. Usually they work in multiple places. In BC I think they had to make a rule so that they could only work in one home to prevent the spread of COVID.

Thats actually how it gets to the old age homes. One workers goes to like 3 or 4 of em during a week and bam. half of BC's deaths are from nursing homes.

In QC your not allowed to go to old age homes at all.

It can hospitalise one in five, regardless of your age and health. On average 50% that end up in intensive care will die.

You probably won’t die, but we all need to do whatever we can to stop spreading it to those that might.

It feels as though here in the UK we’re two weeks ahead of where you will be. It’s full lockdown and we already delayed it too much.

Get off the streets and reduce contact with anyone you can.
