Xbox 20/20: Join Us as We Look into the Future of Xbox

Huh? Did you miss the event that’s happening in July?

I guess we can just be banking on july then I would hope that halo would be at the forefront it being their biggest game in all. I don't understand the high to see 3rd party games seems like a wasted event and I feel like alot of you guys are gonna be let down on the 7th.

I need to see reasons why to buy the console the 3rd party games will always be there

I just think everyone is desperate for next gen games at this point so anything is good lol.

I also like the idea that they are doing a separate 1st party conference. Sounds like they have a lot of stuff to show. Guessing Halo infinite will get a lot of shine then since it is the big launch title.

You’ll get more news and updates on Xbox Series X, reveals of new Xbox Game Studios and development partner titles, details on the future of Xbox Game Pass, and much more.

New first party?

I read it that way at first too, then re-read it to mean revealing both new Xbox game studios and development partner titles (1st party and 2nd party?)

I have a feeling June is going to be a huge hardware blowout with pricing, pre-order info, and maybe some surprises like Series S.

Aaron Greenberg said June will be done a little differently so my weird brain instantly thought of team xbox giving us a tour of a manufacturing plant showing the systems being put together haha

3rd party game hype in May, hardware hype in June, 1st party game hype in July, and then probably a mix of all of the above leading to launch.

Loving the way Xbox is handling their next gen rollout up to this point!

New first party?

Nah, in the list of the sentence, it's pretty clearly saying (XGS)and (Dev Partner) Titles, where both just describe the type of title

Im so fucking hyped to see what the teams have been working on. Fuck sakes! Their communication has been ON POINT!! Not much longer now.

This will probably be the best year ever for Xbox. I still think it's a real shame we won't get a proper E3/reveal event. It would have been insane with all the crowd reactions. You'd probably be able to see the hype on everyone's faces.

To be honest, if the PS5 is to launch with something equivalent to KZ: Shadowfall and Knack quality and fun wise MS don't even need to launch with Halo at all.
The July event is all 1st party stuff. That includes Halo, not just Halo.

Halo is just the Headliner for the coming spread in July. Not sure why some think it's only going to be just one exclusive game.

They phrased it a bit weird:
"Our goal remains to launch Xbox Series X and Halo Infinite this Holiday"
People might think that Halo Infinite will be the only exclusive game, but I'm pretty sure that we'll get to see some more during July event. Can't imagine that they won't release a Forza that will set the standard for racing games this generation.

It's the only confirmed launch title which is probably why it's highlighted. I think most people would understand that.

Sounds like halo is the only first party remotely ready....and people are saying sony is in trouble? Lol ok
It's the only one announced; they are doubling down on claiming it will be ready for launch.

I wouldn't expect too much more at launch other than boosted BC games from MS. But having 1 massive exclusive is not some out of the ordinary console launch. Better than shovelware like Ryse.

But they could still have unannounced games they plan to have ready by launch. They are definitley hinting at game delays while promissing Halo; but that could mean exclusives that just get poushed back to early next year and the like which is fine.

Sounds awesome! Microsoft is doing a lot better communicating their plans and ideas. Phil doing wonders in charge.

I am looking forward to seeing what devs can do with their games when they don't have to worry as much about constraints with the hardware. Phil and his team gave everyone a lot more power to work with!

Can't wait for Thursday!

And the controller charger stands!

You're forgetting the vertical stand for PS5 guys come on now you're not giving Sony enough credit here. It glows at night as well. It will generate so much hype, prolly will be most liked thing on instagram.

I believe the reveal is going like this.

May PS5 Charging cable
June Dualsense Controller Stand
July PS5 Vertical Stand
August PS5 Power Brick
September PS5 Back Ports
October PS5 Front
Novemeber finally Console launch with Godfall and Quantum Error and both receive horrible reviews.

Thursday seems like an odd choice. What are the odds that Sony yet again has an unannounced show the day after? MS loves stealing their thunder.

I'm feeling like XSX is going to be Xbox 360 for the 2020s. I'm back in the camp.

I will never forget this day of my life - Super cold, November 2005 standing/camping for 360 in Brooklyn New York at Best Buy, getting a console, coming home with Condemned, Perfect Dark Zero and Kameo and Xbox Live being a godsent. Best. Times. Ever.

It's all 3rd party this Thursday... we won't be seeing MS 1st party until "Summer" according to them.

Which likely means July.

Going forward, make more posts like this explaining yourself...

Sounds like halo is the only first party remotely ready....and people are saying sony is in trouble? Lol ok

And less driveby console war trolling like this.

Sony being untransparent and then only doing anything in response to Microsoft would look awful.
I hope they dont do that again. Thats an awful look. I dont care what their plans were. You dont ever want to seem reactionary.
