As I said it may still come afterwards or in the form of a standalone title. Neil Druckmann is now Vice-President of Naughty Dog and technically responsible for all their creative output in some form.

In general they still have lots of talented designers, so if an MP standalone came out, it would probably still be good.

He did that by basically bullying Amy Hennig out of the company. And as a result (though Druckmann of course isn't responsible for her Star Wars project being cancelled) we haven't had an Amy game in 9 years. Which is an absolute crime.

Ironic that an asshole who tries to spew "strong" and "empowering" minority characters....bullies a much more talented woman out of lead position with a game studio. Makes me hate that fuck even more.

IDK, Halo 5 story was really bad, but TLOU2 is TLJ levels of bad.

Though with all this progressive (degenerate) propaganda they are shoehorning into everything nowadays, I wouldn't be surprised to see Halo Infinite going the same path, especially seeing the political views of Bonnie Ross and Frank O'Connor.

Ah. I just figured they were dancing with woke. I was okay with U4 other than the fight cutscenes/etc. I generally follow games at the company level [ie, will buy anything by housemarque or naughty dog or whatever] not at the director level.

I remember a few years ago, there were rumors that Neil wanted to kill Elena in Uncharted 2, but Amy Hennig didn't let him. They were clashing for years until he finally got his wish and got her out of the company.

There were people here even saying the leaked ending isn't the real ending and shit like that lol.

My interest went down when I saw Ellie was the main and the leaks just killed it.

But I said it would review good for the same reasons Days Gone got shitted on. Bunch of dumbass sjw reviewers.

Is Days Gone secretly amazing? I say I don't listen to reviews, but the lack of any hype did affect me from ever really giving it much attention. I just didn't care for another zombie game also. Realizing that fucking idiots review games mostly though, I'm wondering if I've been missing out.

I thought that too, but it wasn't Neil's self-insert that bangs Abby. There is a self-insert though who spits on Joel's corpse and he has an additional second self-insert in the game in the form of a trading card that has his *Brains* stat at 100.

I wouldn't necessarily say "amazing" temper your expectations but I loved it. Especially doing some of the side stuff like bandit camps. If zombies were close by, the horde would be alerby the gunshots or alarms and rush in killing everyone for you lol.

Story was decent with some cringeworthy lines here and there. It really took me by surprise.

PatStaresAt's Twitch stream of TLOU2 states (at 41min mark), they they removed the audio diary in firefly hospital stating that they'd tried soperating on other immune people before without success, from the PS4 version of the game, because it completely undercut the narrative of "Joel is Bad".

Can anyone confirm this? That's so fucked-up it's untrue.

edit - apparently his chat was lying. nevermind, i guess. how fucking sad is it that such as thing was believeable.

Probably. I thought U3 was just random set pieces that were strung together with random "then this happened" events.
I just felt meh.


U4 was terrible. It was just like a sequence of more and more impresisve and luxerious places one after the other like,
"and then the pirates abandoned their super luxerious mansions and went to this other place and build even more impressive mansions."
over and fucking over.

Halfway through I honestly hated it. Very beautiful game. But fucking hell it was just a parade of set pieces with a ridiculous story.

Hmm, Shaun Escayg isn't credited on the IMDB entry, but Druckman and Scherr are.

Isn't it funny though there's a similar U4-type set piece in TLOU2 that involves a car chase and the chase ending with both cars crashing into something involving the protagonist shooting the driver in the other vehicle.

guess the leaks about leaving ellie on the ground was not the last part, there are a few more stages left.

i've paused the game. just finished Abbey's frist section, and transitioned back to Ellie and Dina as they head-out on a patrol with Jesse. I want to play it from a purely gameplay perspective. it's just...

i'm not indifferent/bored, and annoyed isn't the prevailing emotion either. playing the game is making me literally sad, both for what's to come for Joel/Ellie/Jessie, and even now the character actions and motivations for Joel, Ellie and Tommy are completely out of whack with TLOU1.

This feels like it's retroactively ruining the first game's story/my memories of it.
