Depends on how well it will run on my 2080 at 1440p and RTX/DLSS or wait for PS5 but the latter is a gamble no idea how well it will run there.

Yes i am looking forward to it, i'll be playing on PC, and from what i've seen of it so far, i'm still going to get the game regardless of the too much hype crowd

This is one of my most looked-forward-to games of all time.
Playing on PS4 to start... soon as I get a PS5 I'll migrate there.

No.. just can’t stand FIrst Person games for the last 3 years.. maybe later if that feeling ever wears off.

PC, but then probably on Xbox Series X when that comes out as it'll likely trounce my 1080ti's capabilities.

Yup. I am going to play it on PC and hope my RTX 2080 can easily run this with RTX and DLSS 2.0 at 1440p.

My hype level is anywhere between slightly worried and might be a 10/10 game that makes me go "why did I ever doubt it?".
My thoughts exactly. This game has such sky high expectations that it almost seems impossible to live up to. But also it has high expectations for a reason.

PC seems like the only right way to go on this one and mine should be up to the task. I am considering a PS5 but PC is for sure the lead platform on this.

Definitely PC.

Main reason I'll try to get a 3090 ASAP too, because I can't see a 2080 Ti being good enough for this game at 4K with ray-tracing.

PC all the way for this and the big 3rd party games this fall for the best experience and I plan to start getting into a little streaming with this..Tony Hawk..an a few other games (nothing to big, just wanna try it)

Looks good, but I'll probably wait for it to debut on Gamepass 6-9 months after launch

VR.

Life-sized scale in videogames is a gamechanger, especially realistic games.
80 story buildings that look 80 stories, 6ft tall characters that actually appear 6ft tall is absolutely the next generation combined with modern graphics.
Not to mention, VR depth perception inside that huge scale is another gamechanger within itself. Now we just need an announcement. Even with a controller and VR headset, that'll be my preferred choice. I'd honestly rather play in VR at 720p than 8k 120fps on a 100 inch TV, but I'll have the option for much higher than 720p.

Now we just need confirmation!

but I will not wait for the series x patch, so hopefully the xbone x version will have an unlocked framerate with dynamic resolution option

This is what DLSS is for.
DLSS can only do so much, and Cyberpunk implements a lot of very expensive effects:

ray-traced diffuse illumination
ray-traced reflections
ray-traced ambient occlusion
ray-traced shadows

If rumors about the 3000 series are correct, those cards will be much better suited to heavy ray-tracing.

Have close to zero interest in this game, so no, not looking forward to it.

Certainly but I also expect they will cost over $1000 so I am probably going to tough it out with current gen RTX.

I'm looking forward to the 3090 myself. I intend to buy one in October or November.

Yes, I'm planning to get Cyberpunk 2077. And I'll be getting it on whichever console that runs it better, the PS5 or XB Series X, so probably the Series X.

I will wait to see how it is first because I hope the new perspective make it playable after the disappointment that was The Witcher 3 in that department.

i know there are like...opinions and everything.

but sometimes there are titles that just look better than nearly everything else lol.

cyberpunk is one of those titles.

the humans who aren't interested probably can't really say that the game they are interested in looks better than cyberpunk all around in true confidence.

If I were to show my non gaming dad how far games are coming along, I'd show him cyberpunk.

not many games seem like they are out to set a bar, and gamers need to acknowledge or recognize when a game is doing such. It's bad for the industry to not recognize those titles.....IMO

Yeah I agree, anyone with eyes and half a brain can see this is the next GTAV or W3 but on another level. And it is set in a universe that couldn’t and hasn’t been done correctly until now. Anyone saying they aren’t interested or don’t like the style—or worse, say the delays have pushed them to lose interest, should be cast out of here and forced to play free to play mobile forever.

PS5 for me and this is the reason to buy a new console.

What was removed? This is actual question, I only heard about wall running.

Might want to sit down.

The biggest stuff for me might be the removal of being able to buy multiple apartments around the game and removal of the entire subway station ie no more rides around the city in real time. I worried about something like this because I don't really trust the team all that much since the whole Witcher 3 downgrade thing. It wasn't really so much that it was downgraded, simply HOW the team lied regarding this situation never sat right with me. It tells me they are willing to do stuff like this to sell the game, what else are they will do? So for all we know, we find out about more missing features, downgrades the day after the game comes out. I'm even questioning if any of that shit was EVER even going to be in the game in the first place and if it was just some bait and switch as the more people that are saying they didn't know about those removed features, the more it sounds like that might have been the point.....

So a part of me is not really surprised.

PC of course. Looking forward to the first next-gen full RT game that has good art direction. Control and Metro simply didn't cut the mustard in the art department. It will absolutely be the benchmark by which to judge all future next-gen titles.

I despise it when people act as if changing design goals and making decisions to cut content is somehow a "lie". Have you bought the game yet? If not, nothing has been promised to you. We don't know why features are cut or removed,so it's a bit of a stretch to imply malice or accuse the dev team of lying to get people excited.

Just because it's on PS5 doesn't mean it will make use of their SSD Tech, the games need to be built for it.
I hope it does of course, because hopefully that transitions to making use of nvme on PC for once, but again I doubt it.

Agreed. I'm not sure what they'll actually use from PS5 and Series X tbh. Of course I'll play it on PS5, but I have a hard time believing that the game will suddenly be "next gen" simply cause I'm playing it on a PS5 or something.... I see nothing about them making new models or extra features that would ever warrant that next gen title even remotely. When that happens we could talk, but I see playing this game on PS5 like an upgrade to my PS4 Pro... Its not next gen, its simply playing a PS4 game at better settings.... In my mind, I'm not seeing it as some next gen "version" and if I didn't get the PS5 and just used my PS4 Pro, I don't see that I'd be upset or missing out on THAT much.

Its up to the team to do something with that hardware before I start to care THAT much about their PS5 update.

JimiNutz JimiNutz consider by the time this game releases, PS5 and Series X will already be out.

RJMacready73 RJMacready73 "whilst yes it looks incredible it still looks current gen " Agreed completely. Thats how I feel about it.

"the city just feels empty and lifeless even though there's a lot happening it doesn't feel dense enough for me and that's probably a result of its engine being tied to the current gen consoles imo" debatable. Yes the hardware will limit them, but they limited themselves with how they used that engine. Think about it, its not like we don't have crowds and filled cities with current gen titles. So their desire to use the engine this way is getting in the way of them even fully fucking conveying the concept. I'd rather have a game that looks not as a good that actually gives me a believable city.

Definitely gonna wait till they release a proper next gen PS5 patch before playing this, as it stands the game currently looks like a fantastic looking current gen game and whilst yes it looks incredible it still looks current gen, the city just feels empty and lifeless even though there's a lot happening it doesn't feel dense enough for me and that's probably a result of its engine being tied to the current gen consoles imo

I would definitely buy it if the game was in third person. It would be more interesting that way. I was also disapponted when they said that all the cutscenes will be in first person too. The world looks great and I like cyperpunk so I will probably buy it at some point when its cheaper.

Um not to deflate your hype but didn't some early access reviewer said that the game was running at 1080p with dlss and raytracing on a rig with a 2080ti and said it diped constantly below 60 and sometimes as low as 30?
