Last milestone was 5 million in August 2020... about a year ago... a old game selling 1 million per year is a good thing.

Edit - The press release have the split.

PS4: 5 million
PC: 1 million

Paris, July 21st, 2021 – Quantic Dream, the award-winning video game studio at the forefront of interactive storytelling, is proud to announce today the long-lasting success of its video game Detroit: Become Human™, which just passed 6 million units sold worldwide, including 1 million on PC as of July 6th, 2021. As well as being the fifth most streamed PC game on PlayStation Now in Spring 2021*, Detroit: Become HumanTM is now the best-selling game ever developed by Quantic Dream.

I have it both in physical and digital yet still haven’t played it, despite loving Quantic Dream’s games. Somehow other games always got in the way. Soon...

Has some good parts but it's the worst QD game. The nazi camps pondering... just omg why.
This is the only game I've sold on ps4.
Fahrenheit remains my fav game of theirs

Beyond Two Souls is worse in my estimation. All of QD's stuff is trash though beyond the opening of Fahrenheit.

Surprised by those numbers, they are pretty good. Played it, finished it and I'm considering to play it again to make different decisions. Great game!

This may require a fresh save/profile, but

in the very beginning, when controlling Kara and you're supposed to go to help Alice upstairs, don't - you'll get a game over, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised when starting the game again

Huh? I did that in my first playthrough...
...and I didn't get a "game over". The story continued normally, just without Kara.

Ah sorry. Remembered wrong, you don't get a game over. But if you restart the game (which I did, because I realized I had fucked up - I was waiting for a "press X to Alice" prompt)

the main menu android, can't recall her name, really lets you have it. Like "how could you!". I found that hilarious.

I wonder if this includes PS+. I know the game sold well, but I don't think it sold that well.

It doesn't. Game was on PS+ 2 years ago. Anyway, just a year ago

2 years ago 3.2 million sold

I'd put it second behind omikron. If Marcus's story wasn't so bad post-junkyard it could have been something truly special.

Makes you wonder why they jumped ship from Sony and all their free promotion and advertising.
They had ambitions to transform into a publishing studio, which they've at least started doing now. I'm not sure how easy it will be for them, it does seem like they were spoiled while producing games for PlayStation as they were given a lot of time and money to produce what are still relatively risky games.

Was obsessed with it until I reached the underground android camp. For some reason the magic suddenly wore off and I never picked it up again.

I've enjoyed all of their games but I think more than any other I've actually enjoyed Heavy Rain. It had a lot of issues with it but when it got things right it just felt so good to me.
The Taxidermist expansion was all kinds of "NOPE!!" for me!

Keeps crashing for me on PC and what a missed opportunity for ultrawide support when Beyond two souls does support it and that a small fan patch fix the problem. But the crashing persists even at native without patches, devs are not showing any signs of working on it.

Nice, I enjoyed my time with it.
Who owns the IP?
I think Sony own it, I could be wrong though.

From what I understand they had a 3 game contract. Then they asked if they could release it on PC, Sony said yes.
I could be talking out of my ass.

Yes but now they are going it solo for their next project.

NetEase purchased a stake in the company so it may likely be a combination of those things.
