Only 3 more months. Crazy how Series X went from having "no graphical showcases" to having arguably two of the best in the span of a year!*

*I mean in terms of photorealism. Tho artistically I think FH5 and FS 2020 are very strong, too. In any case it's really a free-for-fall between those two, Rift Apart, and Demon's Souls for best current-gen visuals ATM, and it completely comes down to personal preference at that point.

Don't get me wrong, I freaking love the Forza Horizons series and am going to buy an Xbox Series X just for 5(if I can find a system).

Not matter if it was streamed or not, I just can't stand "next gen" previews/trailers that are uploaded in 1080p when we know the native resolution is above that.
Call it a pet peeve or whatever but I don't think it helps with impressions or hype when you have tech that's capable of capturing the native gameplay resolution.

Stream it in 4k.

Yeah, but it's possible they weren't able to take FULL advantage of the next-gen console since it's also on the Xbox One. Maybe full SSD streaming isn't being fully utilized.

That's a possibility, that sandstorm is really impressive in the game for sure. That said 2042 is stretched over more platforms to support than the other games mentioned, and I don't know if a game super laser-focused on competitive MP will afford certain fidelity touches to parts of the visuals (because they could get in the way of the gameplay and intended game physics for competitive play).

It'll be one of the best lookers of the year tho regardless, especially on Series X, PS5 and PC.

Battlefield was on base xbox and ps4, yet it looked gorgeous. Same thing will happen to battlefield 2042 on those platform. But the beauty will be shined on the next gen console, especially when the graphics are cranked up.
