on console? absolutely (absolutely pointless) in probably 95% of games.
Most of which are 30 or 60fps and we better HOPE THAT DEVS still will develop with either target in mind.. because if widespread vrr adoption takes over, devs will get lazy.

Actually most games on consoles doesn't need VRR.

Instead of VRR allow me to FORCE the games render resolution to what I want. 1800p upscaled to 4k at 50-60 fps?
NO let me pick 1620p and the fps might be 60fps locked, if not the 1440p or ANY resolution, 1080p even.
