Favorite mobile games?

Mario Run
Mario Kart Tour
Deus Ex GO
Chrono Trigger

Really don't play much on mobile, but it's nice to have a few things on there for an emergency. I tried out Monument Valley and it's alright. Mario Run is pretty much the best for me.

Mobile Games seem like they've been pretty stagnant for some time. The big recent advances lately are stuff like Genshin Impact, or Call of Duty mobile.

Snake Oil Salesman
Neptunes Pride.

Solaris and Subterfuge might be slightly better but that game proves mobile has immense potential when it comes to games.

I enjoyed Stardew Valleylley and Don't Starve on my tablet. A lot of the Square-Enix titles are pretty good as well, like Final Fantasy Tactics and the World Ends With You: Solo Remix.

I also recommend 80 Days. That might actually work better as a game on your phone, rather than a tablet, but if you haven't gotten around to it yet, it's great for a couple playthroughs.

Ridge Racer Slipstream:

R.8cc08b5f50e224a00e99fe739edca7a9

sadly offline for a while, and even if you find an APK it doesn't work on anything Android 11 and up I think.
great portable Ridge Racer title with fan favorite tracks and music.

it uses the driving model and most of the features of Ridge Racer 7

the best arcade pinball game on mobile. absolutely amazing soundtrack and good leveldesign. you basically try to get as high as possible until the timer runs out.
the payed version lets you start from certain checkpoints, but the free version is absolutely worth it for the quick highscore chase now and then.

The Soundtrack is also on Spotify, and I have it in some of my playlists :)

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp

It’s funny when I looked at the list, the first two are games you buy outright with no micro transactions after the initial purchase. Pocket Camp, I have reached level 90 and have never dropped any money into it. I play it for awhile, put it down, and Nintendo sends me Nook money to get me back in. I play Pocket Camp like New Horizons and Wild World: get the animals pictures and kick them out to get more.

Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia

Seriously, it's really, really good and it's not as exploitative as other gachas. Best Final Fantasy since X.
I played this pretty seriously for about 2 years, never spent a dime and just pulled wisely, was always ahead of the meta after about a 2 month catch up period initially. Good game but it was also the last gacha game I ever played. Stopped in late 2019. The game is generous, but to play for free it kind of has to be second job. This is the problem with gacha games in general, they require way to much of a players time imo and much of that time is just grinding the same content. I said goodbye to the whole genre.

You can get the first Plants vs Zombies for free with no ads or mtx which is surprising because EA bought it. Still a fun little game.

Summoners war. Basically the safest game to play as f2p, and not spend alot of money on it.

Its turn based game, which requires you to plan carefully during pvp. RTA, or real time arena is the most interesting part of the game.

Sadly, you will need to grind for 1-3 months nonstop, in order to get a chance as early game player. Though, the game is generous, and does let you farm, while you play your console, aside of the pvp.

Honestly haven’t played a lot since like 10 years ago.

I do remember enjoying Kairosoft games a lot.

I used to play a lot of HearthStone, that’s probably the only mobile game that has ever really hooked me.

Counter Side. I love Gacha games on my phone. Been playing various gacha games for years now, and have not spent a single cent on any of them. Most people dont like games that auto play, but I really do love this feature. I like the collecting aspect and slowly growing a team. I feel its like football manager with magic and swords....and waifu instead. I used to love playing Seven Knights, but after 2 years I got bored.

Cytus II

I think tap rhythm games lend themselves well to mobile by nature of the control scheme.

Cytus II, thanks to the way it tells its story, taking advantage of the mobile platform, is great. Essentially at one part of the game as your playing the live streamer Neko as normal she receives a call via the song select screen resulting in her slamming her hands on the keyboard and a ring tone playing over your phones loud speaker which when you answer results in a unique distorted track to play. Once finished your game resets and your character select screen is screwed.

Overall its one of the few games that alongside the way it primarily tells its story using a fake virtual twitter knock off, takes advantage of the fact its on mobile as a storytelling device.

Sadly it's full of MTX for side story content new tracks and characters, but no lootboxes those are capsules which are unique earned content from playing the game, so it's certainly not the worst mobile has to offer in that regard.

A rhythm game, which despite the english title the volcaloid(s) is only a side character.

Yeah, there's was a new patch yesterday.

Well, I've been playing it every day since pretty much the beginning so I'm WAY ahead, but I think it's less time consuming now compared to cosmos/chaos eras.
