Edit: i was confused

Uhh.... A lot but not all. Guess missed some sellers
You definitely can then. The Bell Bearings are items you give to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold.

In case you want to make life easier in this huge world where it's hard to figure out where you haven't been or what you've missed:

Much appreciated. Sometimes I'm to tired and finding something specific in this huge world can be demotivating.

Btw 1 more level and I can carry the (ultra) greatsword, you know. the classic one. Maybe some sick hammer later on but my strength is still at 30.

Thanks friend

Also going to find some sick Faith buffs

Guess I'm a hack and slash type. I gave Sorcerer a try but hardly used it. Maybe when you're max level with all the sick gear and spells. Good thing you can respec! Such a great addition to find your personal favorite playstyle.

No problem, tag me if you need anything else.

I went in blind to all DS games and ER, but with ER the rules aren't quite the same. I realised you're better off doing what gets you the most enjoyment, and finding basic items that could quite literally be anywhere on that huge map definitely helps. Getting to a point where you can respec but not having found those quite basic things (like I did) is anexample of that.

You'll have good fun with STR/FAI, the greatsword is one of a few that are great to play with. +1 to your hammer idea. Faith has great utility too, some great stuff in there.

Hoping to see elden ring ray tracing update at xbox event next week, they've been very quiet the last two months so hopefully they will give us what we want.

Elden ring was originally shown on xbox show I believe so fingers crossed 🤞

Found the abandoned merchant… it was sooo sad. The music, his slight stutter upon being interrupted by a customer…

I wish there was a quest to find them a home, but happy endings are not a commodity Miyazaki trades in.

Same. I really like the whole Nomadic merchants story given by Kalé. I was hoping for more story about them. And being able to speak to several of them. Only Kalé have the Talk option few times.

Looking good!

Have you tried any of the dragon breath incants? They function the same as any other incant, but can add variety. The scarlet rot one in particular can be very useful, has a good range

Not yet, there are 2 places, at least, that I found, where you offer a heart. I should try it. Being way to conservative again... Gracias

Also I'm using the strength talisman, was 1 lvl short to carry Greatsword

One of those 2 is the early game chapel, the other one is the one that gets referenced when you beat certain dragons. The second one is where you want to go. Dragon incants are arguably the best damage output of incants, so they're worth experimenting with.

The Knights? The ones that do the storm shit? Fuck them, I despise them. I prefer to run past them in the few areas I'm forced to see them. The benefit is way too low to bother. I'd rather Crucible Knights as regular enemies than those tanky poised breaking hyper armour fucks.

They're the last in the Belfrie option. Starts out with a whirlwind in front. When going left you can drop 2 platforms. Those 2 fuckers on the platform below. Multiple poise ignoring slash attacks. Very high damage and it seems your locked into their small area

After doing some reloading at my previous character, it seems that the game crashes whenever I go to Raya Lucaria - where Queen Rennala resides.

The horn has a low drop rate from them.

You can get the head piece but it's not farmable. It's a loot in Haligtree.

Thread Is dying. There's another flavor of the month I guess
Many has finish it I guess and moved on.

I am 15 hours in my third playthrough. I explore carefully again like my first and take a lot of notes to get the lore.
I have a lot of pages filled already xD.

Using greataxes and roar. Love this style so far

FINALLY an actual tecnical improvement...only tried some zones but the amount of frame skipping is definitely decreased...it's still not perfect since you can see the game skip a bit when you expect it to be loading a new section of the open world, but now it's definitely more playable.

now i can actually finish the game:messenger_beaming: ...too bad it took so long:messenger_fearful:

Ahh so I can farm a bit. Thanks

Yeah many finished the game as If it was a competition (many used guides from start to finish in bet) and now it's time for the new hip thing. Always goes like this.

Did you play on an GBA or something?

I've reached 41 hours of playtime and I suspect I'm starting to feel a little bit fatigued.

I managed to clear the Siofra river -- damn what a stressful area that was. I took the lift that leads to Caelid and just noped out of there before trying anything. At level 57 I'm clearly not ready for that area. Leveling up is becoming slower and slower, so hopefully the enemies in upcoming areas drop decent amounts of runes.

Now I've reached the top of the mines that lead to the Altus plateau and got my ass handed to me by the magma dragon. Thankfully the site of grace is just before his area so I'll fight him as many times as it takes. It seems none of the summons I have can survive a decent amount of time against him.

I hope the upcoming areas like Mt Gelmir and the snowy fields are smaller than Limgrave and Liurnia because otherwise I might burn out on this game, as good as it is. Next PS4 game I pick up will have to be much shorter.

I feel you. I was a bit the same after meticulous exploration of Limgrave, Liurnia and Caelid.

Upcoming areas are big but somehow have less cave/dungeon and stuff to do than the early ones. But still a lot if you explore a lot.

So malenia..... what do you guys think bullshit boss or well designed!?

Before anyone wheels out git gud bla bla bla I ve beaten her but I generally curious what people think

I think her Waterflow attack is too much. It either requires a extremely precise timing and way to dodge when she does it just next to you or you have to rely on Ash of War like Bloodhound step (which makes me feel like I am cheesing it).

In addition, in her second phase, she has several attacks with a similar start up animation than the Waterflow...

Outside of this attack, I think she's a very good challenging boss. The regeneration doesn't bother me much (for me it's more a "anti summon" mechanics since she regenerates if she hit spirits).

I noped out after one try against that magma bro. Found some area or did some side quest or whatever and couple play times later he was piss easy. You're also underleveld i think. Maybe I got Faith high enough to cast that spell that makes fire so much less damage..... Not sure

Yeah that covers most of it. It seems that she is much harder depending on what build your running.

I beat her using a faith build with the mimic tear. She would have been brutal without the summon. A shield build would have likely been hell as well.

you are about 2/3 of the game

but reading your excitement, I'm sorry but I think that after the capital you're going to get a pretty cold shower...
So I finished it last night at 138 hours. This post turned out to be some what true. I still really enjoyed but fatigue definitely set in past 100 hours. Which is interesting its the first time I've felt a game is to big.

I will detail my review/thoughts later as I have many but it went from a 10 to a 9 or 9.5 in the final quarter

Making some good progress. Just hit 102 hours of playtime. Cleared Nokron, the Aqueduct (beat the Gargoyles first try with my newly discovered mimic!), Nokstella and a chunk of Ainsel River Main.

Took a major unexpected detour to Deeproot Depths and instead of going to bed I plowed right through it, killed some Ant Queens and took down the multi boss there. Did the first couple guys solo but when three of them showed up I summoned. That unlocked a teleporter to somewhere amazing. Not sure I should mess with that area and risk borking any quests though. Feels like I shouldn't be there yet. I'm a faith/dex build though and everyone says this area is where the good faith stuff is so ... we'll see.

Progressed Ranni's quest to the point of fighting a certain shade. He's pretty tough so I left off there for the night.

Not a bad session. Still loving it.

I managed to beat the magma dragon after a few tries. It seems the second phase of the fight, where he stands on his hind legs, is easier than the first. I kept hitting his groin and panic rolling until he died. I don't remember if I had 1 flask left or none at all, but that fight was hella stressful, I was still shaken after killing it, this is not something I feel with other games. That satisfaction of having beaten the odds felt really good afterwards.

So finally I set foot on the Altus plateau and I'm glad to see that a bunch of wolves nearby drop a good amount of runes, 359 each. Some enemies hit super hard though. I found the place with the ghost boat rider who summons a giant sekeleton. I beat him in my second try and got a nice chunk of runes. So far so good. I'm level 61 but nowhere near what is required to face the thunder-wielding dragon.
