Ori 3 is in development, seemingly

I hope so. Ori is one of my favorite series.

But I wouldn't trust anyone else to do this. They need to get Moon Studios to produce the sequel.

I've only played the 1st Ori but it is a lovely game. The waterfall set piece was my favorite

Great news but I don’t think any other studio can do what Moon did, sorry. Could get it to play well I guess if they contracted Team Cherry or Mercury Steam but won’t have the artistic awesomeness.
Still, more metroidvanias is never a bad thing, so bring it!

I know a guy who did work in the 2nd, and as I remember he and many people left the studio.

I don't know who would develop it, if it ever exists.

If they did actually take some of the talented staff from moon, got them out of that toxic hell hole and paid them to make ori 3....that would be amazing tbh.

I am probably dreaming for something that isn't reality, but it would be nice.

Spoiler: Does that mean
we get a new protagonist? Seeing as how at the end of Will of the Wisps, Ori turned into (or rather, turned out to be) the Spirit Tree
.

Didn’t enjoy the first one all that much but absolutely adore the second one so I’m definitely up for more if the series keep improving like this!

A little nervous if moon isn't involved tbh, not really sure how Will of the Wisps can be topped too.

I honestly thought the Ori series ended after Will of the Wisps ending though.

It is such an artistic game, if a lot of key talent from Moon studio is involved then fine, but I don't think you should replace unique artistic sensibilities and stamp the name on it. Why not try to make something different in similar vein.

Ori 2 was stunning, visually. Much more so than 1. But I enjoyed Ori 1 far more for some reason. Having played through will of the wisps I can't recall that much from the game, strangely. I hope 3 will be their apex.

Yeah I agree with what everyone else is saying. It has to be Moon studios. It would be difficult for anyone else to get it right.

Objectively the second game is obviously better - its gameplay is basically the absolute peak of the genre. Weirdly enough, I adored both games more or less equally. First one is more modest in scope but perhaps a bit more focused. That said, they really have to have a good vision for the third game and if it is really in development and some ex-Moon people are working on it, they better be the ones who have made creative decisions in the first two games.

Fuck yeah, baby. Love the Ori-games and a third one by Flash Studios would be awesome. Wait... Flash Studios?

The leaf at the end of 2 was a hint that things can continue, I saw it as an offspring
Amazing games both of them.

Assuming it's still Moon Studios, day one.

I wonder if they'll have a new protagonist, or how they'll handle the story.

Would love it, but seems unlikely it'd be by the same studio, and that would make it far less interesting (unless enough people from Moon Studio left to make a new studio for this game)

Didn't they say their next game is going to be something new?

As someone who just finished Ori 2 last week, and absolutely loved both the game and the ending, I'm not sure how to feel about this. I'm honestly not sure if this series needs a 3th game. I guess a prequel or spinoff could work.
