Well, it's pretty much a given that she'll still appear in her usual "Where's Waldo? Wally? Derpy?" fashion, but I don't exactly expect any voiced lines any time soon.

Which pisses me off, because I didn't think there was anything wrong with the voice. But of course the vocal retards who had to have their letter writing campaigns, going on about manufactured outrage that Derpy was insulting mentally handicapped people, may have caused them to shy away from speaking roles. I hope I'm wrong though. A fan selected character that becomes a prominent speaking character? And this is how they react?

Honestly i think it's best if Derpy stays a background easter egg. Like I've said before, Last Roundup was an awesome one-time shoutout to the fans, but if Derpy just keeps popping up again and again in speaking parts, I just think it'll peel like pandering.
I really hate the "backlash" against her portrayal (if one even exists), since it's really pretty baseless, but if it results in less blatant Derpy scene stealing, maybe the outcome will be worth it.

Funny, The Hub had had "The Last Roundup" scheduled for today as the second half of the two-times-a-weekday Pony hour, but now it's "The Stare Master". Tomorrow's the Season One two-part opener, starting the loop over. Huh, maybe it's not just iTunes?

If there were any "results" we wouldn't see anything until Season 3. I doubt there will be.

Edit 2: Great episode. I mean it's a CMC episode, so some people won't like it no matter what, but they had a lot of fun with it.

Haven't watched the show and probably won't watch the show, but I happened to catch a glimpse of it the other morning and it seemed to be a perfectly competent saturday morning cartoon type thing, just with an overly cutesy artstyle which makes it easy for for superficial people to hate the dudes who watch it and call them names.
