My thoughts:
1. Wow, that's a game on a console that hasn't been released it. Really?
2. Wow, they're out of ideas. The sequel was how long ago?
3. Wow, people are actually excited over this? If this wasn't called Pikmin, people would be harsh on a game this underwhelming in 2012.
So, wows all around.
Yeah, underwhelming. Still looks like so much fun, but I didn't expect it to be so familiar. 8 years and two consoles later.....
Meh, they maybe out of ideas but the multiple people may add to the complexity. Pikmin is loved by many and it's hitting HD. So, yeah, I'm excited. My thoughts:

I've honestly never heard of Pikmin. Should i have?
this better be a launch title
I see a flying pikmin in the trailer..are they new? I played only pikmin 1 long ago.
This is OBVIOUSLY a Wii game that they're switching to Wii U. It's practically Miyamoto's job to create new software to show off new hardware, like the Wii U GamePad. But this is designed with the Wiimote and nunchuk in mind, and the visuals DO look like they've been quickly upscaled. I'm fine with it, I'll take a new Pikmin any way I can get it. But this is another Twilight Princess situation.
Anyone remember this?

Has Nintendo come even close to this CG?
The geometry looks just a little better than Pikmin 1/2. The ground is still a flat low res texture without grass shading. It's like they made a Wii title and just turned the rez up for Wii U. Damn disappointment.

Thought it was real scenery with Louie superimposed on, no?
This kind of looks like a Wii-Port...

Am I blind. Or does this look exactly like the predecessors?
You're blind. Or mis-remembering how blurry and low-res the Gamecube games were. This looks MUCH better.
