-Sticky Detonator: I used this gun on accident but it was a very good sabotage weapon. At one point vs RT i shot it into the drivers seat of the hog before they got into it and waited till they drove towards us to blow it up and it worked perfectly. A cool thing about it is that you can shoot it and switch weapons and still use your BR and it wont explode until you switch back and make it explode with another tap of RT.

Interesting. I can see much hilarity on BTB.

We don't really need to know their code; we know the BXR glitches worked on other controll scheme's in Halo 2, right? That tells us that its not unique to the "X" button, but to the action itself.

Their explanation doesn't make any sense though; BXR wasn't a glitch that was unique to the "X" button.

This x1000. From a technical perspective, I've yet to hear an explanation that amounted to more than "just cuz". I have a friend who plays Green Thumb (or whatever) and he never had an issue with any button glitches.

Has there been any negative impressions of Halo 4 posted yet? Maybe not negative but more critical. Everyone so far is just "10/10 WOULD PLAY AGAIN AWSOM POSSUM!!!!"

It's weird, when you try and "review" the game you've only played part of the MP and it's still in beta so things can change, with a mixture of "honeymoon phase" of playing it makes it hard to take these impressions 100%. Guess we'll see it launch.

If you walk off an edge, you can use jetpack without jumping. Which is why I said "while in the air" instead of specifying a double-tap of the button.

I wasn't actually being sarcastic, I just re-read my post and realised it might of seemed that way. I actually hadn't thought of the case of walking off the edge :p

Me from what I seen it's not gonna get much play from me. Its ok though its like in alpha or something right. Glad Chief is in it though, at this point I wouldn't consider this game if the story wasn't about him.

We need more people playing it that can articulate what they like and don't like... and WHY... in specific terms. This lessens the impact of the "honeymoon phase".

I totally get people not being able to provide concrete opinions on the game as a whole... but I'd really like to see more people talk in specific terms about what worked and what didn't in their brief play time. Instead I hear the commentaries that are super general... even when talking about specific things that may be over powered/under powered at this point in time.

Drunk Wu shoots really, really badly - even worse than sober Wu. (Actually, I only have a single datapoint of REALLY drunk Halo playing. I think I was having trouble remembering which buttons did what.)

Wait... you weren't drunk in our match last night?

I had that moment of realizing just how little I trust showfloor impressions yesterday when Bravo was up on stage saying how this is arguably the most balanced Halo multiplayer ever. It just sounds ridiculous when we know so little about how any of this actually works, especially since there are giant parts of the sandbox that haven't been revealed yet.

Yeah, he's played it, and that's nice. But the things that are screwy won't show up in full force until after launch. They sure as hell won't show up in a showfloor where people are trying to be nice to each other. So we get this weird perspective that unless its hyperspecific in its details, is really easy to feel like you have to take a giant block of salt with it. All it really tells me, that big block of impressions is, "the game feels good." Which is easy to see in video, and isn't what I'm looking for from hands-on impressions. Mostly because I'm still sore over the lack of a beta so I can see all this for myself.

It does seem pretty odd to be making such bold statements as this, given that as you say 343i have carefully chosen what is to be shown and what is not to be shown.

There must be numerous weapons and AA that haven't reared their heads yet, because they have very diligently controlled the reveals of almost every aspect. Right down to only 2 or 3 maps being shown for the game full stop.

Okay, so I'll tell you guys what my biggest problem was with the eSports stage at RTX.

Not ONCE during the entirety of the casts did ANYONE refer to the Ghost as "Mr. Angry Eyes."

Yeah, I wanna see how well balance remains once auto sentries, regen fields, all other support packages and weapons combos are paired with players who are looking for something to exploit, or simply are in search of the God loadout. These events feature limited use of Halo 4s full range of new features, and these players are there to just play. I wanna see how those with no honor, and no remorse handle all the variables.

If there was a beta the criticism would probably be endless. Good planning on 343's part to let people see and play very little of the game so that way the rest of the public can determine whether or not they like it only after purchasing the full game.
