Oh jeez, I bought too many things. Why did I buy this many things?

Tomb Raider Legend
Tomb Raider Anniversary
Alan Wake CE Extras
Alan Wake American Nightmare
The Walking Dead
Magicka Complete
Microsoft Flight: Alaskan Wilderness
Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands
Fallout 3 GOTY
Red Faction Guerilla
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
Dear Esther (with OST)
Pendulo Adventure Pack
GTA: Episodes from Liberty City
Thief Gold
Thief 2
The Longest Journey + Dreamfall
E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Machinarium
Botanicula
The Dream Machine Bundle
DCS Black Shark
DCS Warthog
Still Life Collection
Blackwell Deception
Evochron Mercenary
Dead Space 1 + 2 (thanks to I H8 Memes)
Alice: Madness Returns (thanks to Krappadizzle)

Also Max Payne 3 and Binary Domain from Amazon before the sale and Metro 2033 from GMG during. All up: just under $200. And there are still games on my wishlist that weren't reduced enough for me to bite (Capcom, mostly). Gaaaawd.

This is my humble appeal for everyone to buy Team Fortress Classic. The game for some reason is not free, but is only 2.49. It's a truly classic game and in a lot of people's opinion a lot better than the sequel. Please buy it, play it, love it. I wish Steam would just make it free to help revamp the community again, but I digress.

Why? TF2 is much better, I don't think valve have any intention of supporting that community anymore.

I'm sure everyone owns it already.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
I'm done. I still want to buy The Walking Dead if it happens to reappear, but I've enough left in my Wallet for that (which I only began using during this sale).

The removal of grenades is the best thing valve ever did. Tfc was fun back in the day but in no way is better than 2.

Fuck that so hard. Some may say it's mediocre compared to the original and I think the original does some things better like story, but Bioshock 2 is a fantastic game with better gameplay, a good enough story, excellent atmosphere and amazing music.

It's got my favorite story moment from either of the games, too. You know what I'm talking about if you've played it. The pacing is also much better. Don't play both back to back, but Bioshock 2 is definitely worth playing.

I have ten bucks remaining in my wallet and have no idea what to spend them on.

I'm even juggling with the idea of getting The Witcher 1 just to have it on Steam rather than a stand alone game. :/

Also you get to go outside and in the ocean.

Game is just fun as hell. It's easily one of the best first person shooters I've ever played. I think it lacks the nuance and storytelling momentum of the first game, but that's about the only thing I find to be lacking about it.

If you go into Bioshock 2 wanting good gameplay and awesome atmosphere, you will come away more than satisfied with it. If you go into it wanting something as memorable or as striking as your first experience with the original, it may come up short, but I highly doubt you'll regret it.

Yeah. I think overall the first one had a more interesting story, but the sequel definitely had at least a couple of "okay I did not expect that" moments. And the great thing is that these moments are payoffs to details, not really the core narrative, but things you hear about as you're playing the game.

The "What Goes on Sale" logic of this sale is baffling. I hope that whatever market research Valve is doing they determine that recap days are better than having some games up for multiple flash/vote/daily (Witcher 2) while other games show up only once (SFIVAE, flash sale) or only potentially once (King's Bounty, lost a vote in community choice).

The problem with recap days is that it kills incentive for people to follow the sale and encourages them to hold off until the last day, rather than spreading out the traffic. (I can't imagine the hit the servers take on a recap day is a good thing.)

I don't know, man. I actually liked following the Flash Sales and seeing what popped up, and I'm not feeling the complaints from people. But that's just me.

Alright, I think my purchases for this entire Steam sale will be as follows:
Crusader Kings II - $23.99
Mount & Blade: Warband : $11.00
Galactic Civilization II - $4.99
Total: $39.99

What say you GAF?

I'd grab that CK2 deal on Amazon but I don't have a credit card (Unless someone wants to trade the Amazon deal for an equivalent amount of money in Steam stuff).

CK2 doesn't seem to be a deal on amazon anymore sorry :(

How is Witcher 1? I haven't played either of them but I'm thinking of getting part 1 to try the series out.

Yoshichan

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
And if it does get another flash deal, I guess I'll pick up Bastion as well
You'll eventually end up regretting not buying Bastion right away; this is something I know for a fact!

It's like $3, that's nothing!

BASTION because of Yoshi!

LONE SURVIVOR because I can't have buy it now so you should buy it and play it!

No, it's brilliant all around. Hell, I barely played the co-op due to connection problems and still think it was well worth my Day 1 purchase.

With the solo only, I have played between 10 and 15 hours maximum.
With the coop only, I have played 50 hours.

So do the Commando's games work on Windows 7/64bit machines? I'm eyeing the Commando's Complete bundle, but maybe that's something i should get off of GoG instead.

The recap prices aren't as low as the daily deals, or at least not to my recollection. So it's always better to buy during the sale.
