After performing for only 45 minutes, the pop star incurred the wrath of concertgoers who gathered in front of the Paris concert venue to demand their money back.

French fans took Madonna’s “Express Yourself” lyrics seriously on Thursday night when they booed and expressed anger at the singer for cutting her show at famed Paris concert hall l’Olympia short after around just 45 minutes.

After Madonna left the stage, fans remained in their seats booing and yelling insults like “salope,” the French word for “slut.”

Madonna took the stage around 10:15 p.m. and finished around 11 p.m.

The concert venue was filled mostly with big Madonna fans since the tickets for the show were available only to members of her official fan club before being released for sale to the general public. The concert was broadcast live via YouTube.

The supplementary concert was added to the singer’s tour just last week and was sold out after just a few hours, with Material Girl devotees paying from 80 to more than 280 euros for the limited seats. Hundreds of fans gathered outside several hours before the show to fill the Olympia’s 2,700 seats and many slept on the streets overnight from Wednesday to Thursday. After the show, many of them gathered in the streets in front of the theater and yelled “remboursez! remboursez!” which means “give us our money back!” in French.

Several fans expressed their discontentment on Twitter late into the night. One fan wrote in French “280€ for a seat + 10 minutes of a speech + 40 minutes of a show + 2 days of camping in front of the #Olympa = #Madonna #MDNA #Paris #thatsucks” and another wrote also in French “#Madonna 45min/250€ vs @springsteen 3h40/65€ ... what’s the better deal, there’s nothing left to say! #MDNAOlympia.” Another wrote: “How much does it cost to see Madonna at l’Olympia? It’s 6.3 euros per minute!”

Her loyal fans aren't the only ones angry at the pop star. A July 14 concert at the Stade de France incurred the wrath of French right-wing politician Marine Le Pen, who is pressing charges after Madonna screened a video featuring a photo of Le Pen’s face with a swastika superimposed on it.

Madonna also took a moment during the show to respond to Le Pen. “I know that I made a certain Marine Le Pen very angry with me. And it’s not my intention to make enemies,” Madonna told the crowd before adding: “It’s my intention to promote tolerance. And when we start saying that we have to get rid of this person or we have to get rid of that person, because then we’ll have a better place, it starts to sound like something else, it starts to sound like something scary. So the next time you want to point the finger at somebody and blame them for a problem in your life, take that finger and point it back at you.”

The singer will next perform in France on Aug. 21, in Nice.

Almost 300 euros for that? I'd demand a refund too. Less than an hour what a joke. I felt ripped off watching it on youtube tbh.
 
POP-GAF was watching this show live via plug.dj earlier today.

Overall the set was subpar. She talked too much, and when she did finally start performing she was winded quickly and didn't seem to be at all aware that there was an audience present. The majority of the time she was looking down at the ground.

It also ended pretty abruptly.

Add to this the fact that she insisted on sticking mostly to her MDNA flop-material and, yeah, the show was a disaster. A boring disaster, but a disaster nonetheless.
 
Knowingly or unknowingly, she's really been setting herself up as one of the biggest entertainment celebrity villains in the world lately.
 
45 minutes? That is rediculous for any concert, let alone a popstar's concert.
I would have wanted my money back too.

To be fair, the show was marketed as a "smaller" and "scaled back" gig that was "intimate".

But I think she was charging the same as her 2.5 hour actual show ;_;

Yeah, that's the kind of vid that could make you hate someone. Those poor guys look crushed and struggling to not show it. Especially the bald one. ;_;
 
She truly has become a Fallen Idol for me.

The callous way that her career is being handled is severely tainting the love i've had for this god awful woman for two thirds of my life.

Whether its announcing that dates for her tour have been dropped in your country "...because the talent decided she didn't want to come now" after it being touted in every press release for said tour that she would return after 20 years absence.

Or its charging people full concert ticket prices for an intimate mini gig that most artists and even Madonna in the past would do for die hard fans for free.

I think I need a new Avatar.
 
They streamed this live on YouTube last night and I was wondering why, after tuning in an hour after the start time it was saying "stay tuned for the rebroadcast". That is awful that she only did 45 minutes :/

45mins? Even my brothers metal band got 45 mins for their first slot at a local festival.


As for Madonna, I despise her as a person as well as her music, both seem to have a hard time coping with their dwindling youth and freshness.
It's just pathethic to watch this leathery aging women try to act and look like a 16 year old brat amusing the world with her manicured shocks and sterilized social commentaries.

I feel for fans who payed to see this dinosaur "perform" her "look at me, I'm still young and relevant" show. Paying money so that a delusional rapidly aging woman can feel young, important and desirable for an evening is a very bad deal.
 
This hardly surprises me. She has been a bitch for as long as I can remember. Only difference is that her arrogance has grown while the qualtiy of her shit has gone in the opposite direction.

The worst thing was that it didn't look just like she was disinterested in what they had made (because frankly, so was I), but that it seemed like she was going out of her way to nitpick in a deliberately cruel way.

And obviously I cannot know what she was actually thinking, but that's how it appeared to me.
