Sven: Capcom has some good stuff coming to Wii U

I wonder why Capcom, Konami... japanese companies have to keep announcements secret. Can we expect a Nintendo Direct in August?
September most likely, an event when they'll announce all the launch details and more games. They did it that way with Wii and 3DS.

There will probably be a new Nintendo Direct soon (since there's been one every two months) but it'll be most likely about 3DS lineup.

What's with the Japanese developers not wanting to show or even talk about their games for Wii u? It's really annoying.

Japananese developer announcements are probably happening around TGS. I agree it's dumb, but that's par for the course with the way Nintendo's handeled the Wii U roll out.

Pretty much the only JP 3rd party at E3 was Namco.

I don't get the test jokes, can someone fill me in?
When RE 4 and Umbrella Chronicles sold well, people spammed the Capcom boards for a new and RE 4 like Resident Evil game. And other stuff. Sven (Capcom guy) said "first you will need to pass a few tests guys".

He said it jokingly, but hey you know the internet.

Whatever it is, it will be disappointing...

...Chop 'till you drop 2: Drop harder
To be fair, Dead Rising 2 can actually run on Wii U hardware.

Seeing is believing. I'll wait until Capcom shows actual proof. No way in hell I'm going to just take their word on this. Also if they produce any "test" they can go straight to hell.

Reasonably expect a late port of RE6 with some added touch screen functionality, possibly Monster Hunter 4U that has connectivity to the 3DS version.

Bwahaha! That's amazing. :D

A TatsuCap 2 really needs Pizza Cats and Speed Racer (and maybe Superbook? Guess that'd be a fucking nightmare) to have its existence validated, but to be honest I'd just be thrilled to get to use Casshern again.

I knew Capcom would have plans given that they're basically Nintendo's biggest third-party Japanese supporter. The only real question was if they have any plans for launch titles, but whatever the case may be, we can definitely expect some ports. Capcom's got a lot to choose from like like E.X. Troopers, Street Fighter X Tekken, DMC 5, Dragon's Dogma, Lost Planet 3, Okami HD, Jojo Bizarre Adventure HD, RE 6, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and World Gone Sour, RE: Racoon City, and RE 5. Hopefully, we'll see at least one newl IP.

Don't listen to capcoms lies. Seriously people, you set your selves up for disappointment every time. You saw what happen at SBO? Ya, biggest kick in the dick.

This. Stopped caring after GC and last gen with WII cemented it for me. I don't hate capcom but the second I hear they are doing something with nintendo I'm just going when is the port coming to a console or pc.

I hope Capcom PR guys read threads like this. I think they need to know that most people are tired of this sort of anaemic shit that they're now infamous for.

I know that western devs couldn't give a single fuck about the Wii, but if Capcom is the biggest Wii supporter after treating it like shit for the better part of this gen then things must be bad all over.

I think it was just that every Wii owner was pissed to get shafted by Capcom. After the success of RE4 and UC, they came out with Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, Darkside Chronicles, a bad port of Okami (terrible controls and a ruined visual style) and Spyborgs. The only "big projects" by Capcom released for the Wii were Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and Monster Hunter 3. Compared to the HD consoles it was just fucking depressing how much Capcom didn't care. Yet they continued to give us hope that support would be coming, it never came.

I'm seeing the same happening with Monster Hunter 3G and Wii U support. I just don't give a shit about Capcpom anymore and I'm pretty sure a lot of Wii owners feel that way too.

I think they do which is why they make the comments they do from time to time. What they don't seem to understand is that they make the situation worse when they think they're being funny or even being "helpful". If they do understand it's just annoying people then they're a bunch of jerks if not worse for purposefully throwing fuel on the fire.

I would love something like Shounen Jump vs Capcom instead of TvsC2, mainly because there are not much interesting Tatsunoko characters left.

Yup. Allthough, Okami was a 2008 release (which I thought was fine, except for cutting out the ending) and after that particular release it got weird.
