I guess its appropriate that I mock you for being such an apologist then, you sound ridiculous.
Semantics is the word you're looking for, but you're not exactly helping by continually patronizing or condescending to everyone complaining.
Point out the good parts and let the rest wallow.
Bloodrayne seems like it's all over the place, critic-wise. IGN gave it a 9, Joystiq a 4.5/5, and 1up a B+, but I'm also seeing some 5/10s, Ds, etc.

A more apt comparison would be Johny got a Red car, and i got a red bicycle i want a red car too. Its no secret to anybody that Europe has gotten a superior amount of content so far. Its only natural for american ps plus users to be disapointed. Sorry that we arent proclaiming Sonys greatness because we got Outland for free. Im sorry we hurt Sonys feelings.
It's all relative. I paid $4 this month and got plenty to keep me happy. The discounts are the bread and butter for me lately, but Walking Dead and Outland back to back was great. I've also barely had any time for LBP2.

Not helping what? I'm not here on a mission, despite what other people are saying. I always pop into this thread to get the latest news on a service I enjoy, and in reading other people's posts I express my opinion.
The reason my posts in here are often patronizing is because so many of the posts in here deserve such a response. There have been a few people who have remarked negatively in reasonable ways, such as saying "y'know, I buy a ton of games and it just turns out that PS+ hardly ever gives me something I don't already have." I don't respond to that because it's a totally mild post and I'm too busy being distracted by the craziness surrounding it.
Europe has gotten a superior amount of content for like two or three months. Before then the shoe was on the other foot.
But none of that matters. It all comes down to what you are spending and what you are getting. To illustrate the absurd; if you and a European are spending $1 a year for your near-dream house, but the European's house has a jacuzzi and yours doesn't, is that unfair? Are you going to cancel the service?
You are spending $4.17. You are getting more than $40 in potential "savings", plus the constants. If you want to "show Sony" by not spending $4 a month, be my guest. I think you're NUTS.

So what? They have given away Sam and Max and BTTF COMPLETE seasons before, that is why we getting 2/5 of the season is not good. The SCEA PS+ service is getting worse while SCEE plus is getting better, of course we're going to complain.
My issue is that they took out a full retail game and replaced it with a PSN release, when most people expected a retail game to be replaced with a retail game. Of course people we'll be "saving" money each month regardless. If they gave us thousands of free avatars per month instead, we'd be saving over a hundred bucks. Doesn't mean I'll enjoy it.

Why as a plus member we can't queue up announced demos for auto downloading. I mean once you select the upcoming demo, and when it's available it automatically downloads.
I have to say even though im in Europe and got good games, Us have the right to complain, they so they have to right but they have to complain also on psblog so that SCEA see that they should give retail game more frequently.
I mean its okay to complain , in europe we complained too when we never got all the rpg that america got.
But even if had gotten america line up i would be pretty for the ps plus because thats a lot of games that i never bought. But its less interesting when you buy on psn.
I already have darksiders and borderlands goty, so i got some of the games from instant game collection but its a good deal, and i think they give us games but expect sales from dlc, if its really Borderlands that will be offered with just cause 2 (which is i hope is given free since i stopped myself from buying from some time) they will offer a sale on dlc, like 25% or 50% on each , so they get back their cash.
My suscription ends in september and i will be renewing it for sure.

Well, to be fair, The Walking Dead was anything but "low-tier."
I think it's alright for US PSN+ to be annoyed. It's like ordering ice cream but you know the other EU Dairy Queen gives complimentary blowjobs with each order but yours doesn't...they can but they won't for some odd reason.
From what I'm reading across various channels, if Sony US doesn't step it up in September, they will lose a lot more PS+ subscribers than they're expecting. No way people will contend with handjobs while the other side of the pond gets the full monty.

I do admit, I am kinda underwhelmed with the offerings this month. I might not even need to download the games they're offering. I mean, except for Outland, what's there to download? Dust 514 beta? Hopefully, September brings in more goodies...Haro seems to be hinting that they'll be making it up to US PS+ in the future. I'm guessing all that bitching hasn't escaped him, eh?

yea I'm out too, glad we got that free extension. If you think about it only SCEE was hyping up this PS+ so it makes since they've got the better titles. But eh, glad I didn't spend money on this, if in the future they have some better titles I might bite.
Oh and don't forget if you bought PS+ off the store your automatically signed up for auto renewal, so go to your account management and cancel.

Why the attitude that retail games are automatically better than PSN games though? That doesn't seem like you. If Saints Row 2 or All4One are replaced by Sound Shapes or Journey or Dyad next month, is that not more than a fair trade to you?

PS+ isn't new, so why people are expecting full retail games every month is surprising. The E3 announcement was just a bonus, not the norm. I guess gamers are like my kids, they get spoiled and want more every time you give them something.
Content is going to be lumpy, every month cannot one-up the previous one. If you missed out on stuff from other months, too bad, Plus is cumulative, the longer you are in the more stuff you have access to.

Walking Dead is a much, much better game than BTTF and Sam and Max, in my opinion. Those games were also not fairly new, unlike Walking Dead which was basically a month old when it hit Plus for free, if I recall correctly. The game is episodic by design and I wasn't going to buy a full $20 season based on reviews alone, so I look at it as $10 saved regardless of whether or not I buy episodes 3 & 4.
Only the discounts and freebies they give us are for good games. Sound Shapes is a fantastic game and you got $3 off it, and the recent 50-75% off sales were awesome (Beyond Good an Evil was $5, if I recall correctly) and Shadow of the Colossus was $9! Dyad and Counter Strike are 20% off too, Hot Shots Golf for Vita was 50% along with a bunch of others, so these aren't exactly just free avatars.
It's $4/mo. If you want new, AAA games... you'll have to spend some money. Outland is a great game from what I've played, but that's entirely subjective. Walking Dead, Renegade Ops, Pacman, etc... all great games.

I think their biggest "mistake" was gambling that a super well-reviewed, new DL game like Walking Dead was comparable to something like inFamous 2, a $30, year-and-change-old, awesome retail game.
I still think it was an awesome freebie*, but that seems to be people's contention.
Well, $50/12 months is factually $4 a month, so I'm not sure about splitting hairs there. You could always do a three-month sub or just get the free months that came with Starhawk and a few other games, too.

Right, but your argument (and others) is that you are spending $4 and getting some content. Which is not true. You are spending 50 NOW (or $18 or whatever it is) and then there is a time period (1 yr or 3 mos) where you EXPECT to get that money's worth back in content. Some people here just feel that some games offered aren't making them feel like they they are getting their $50 worth (of FUN not just adding up the prices of the games normally re: that stupid pie chart of ps minis like Farming Frenzy 3 and outdated PSOne sports titles)
The argument then changes, goalposts move, and people start to claim that they want more retail games in the league of Just Cause 2, inFamous 2, etc... which is becoming circular.
I think that whatever next month's "Walking Dead episodes 1 & 2" is will determine some peoples' perceptions of the service. I still would rather have had a brand new $10 experience than maybe a year-old $20 one, but that all depends on the titles in question.

Outland is absolutely awesome. I've only tried it thanks to Plus and was completely blown away by it.
