Mega Man] Rockman X Over announced for iOS

Because playing Megaman without buttons is fun

It's okay! Looks like they solved the 'no buttons' issue by not giving you anything to jump over.

To get serious for a moment, this doesn't look like it's *trying* to be a 'MegaMan platform game for iOS'; it looks like it's trying to be a 'MegaMan branded RPG for iOS'. It might possibly be successful at that, but people's impressions are going to be dominated by what they *want* it to be rather than what it actually *is*.

I went into this thread, fully expecting to be disappointed. Somehow still I wasn't prepared for this. I dread imagining what they could possibly do to make it worse at this point.

It's like they are intentionally murdering megaman and pissing on his grave at this point, the last couple years. This after NES box-art megaman in SFXT, tons of cancelled games and removed re-releases, and even pulling Dr.Wily from Wreck it Ralph..

Now I've never really been into Megaman (mainly because I suck at it) but NO franchise deserves this treatment, especially not a classic long running one like this. Seems the only good Megaman stuff recently has been the Archie comic and the appearances in Project X Zone (which I doubt will release here).

It's actually kind of a bad remake relative to what Powered Up was doing.

Maverick Hunter X's aim was way different from Powered Up. MHX was a reboot while PU was an actual remake. MHX did a hell of a job trimming the fat of the story to get right to the point. PU however was just a fun romp through what we've come to know as familiar and mix it up a bit. Problem with both of these is that they never saw their true potential realized. MHX was setting up for a more synergized & streamlined storyline with the hope of getting those important characters from the 2nd half of the series in earlier with some explanation on where they came from. PU just didn't make it to 2, 3 and beyond that. The concept was damn good and executed the same but it just didn't sell enough for the investment to continue. That's a damn shame.

And this will come out in the US but we'll never see Operate Shooting Star. THE FUCK?!?!

I definitely agree. Thank goodness that Capcom aren't the ones developing Project X Zone, because they will not only ruin X & Zero, but ruin all of the other characters as well.

And even then, the Capcom characters in PxZ are horrible - all of them are your go-to crossovers. The only new guys are X and Devilot.

There are not enough Picards.

- Shitty drawn sprites
- Shittily drawn sprites
- Shitty touch controls
- Social RPG (I assume this mean copious amounts of IAP)

What the fuck is this garbage?

Nope. This is iOS, not some archaic region locked handheld!

(I kid. I have no idea but I suspect it will be released everywhere).
Nearly every handheld ever made has been region free. Nintendo broke that with the DSi and 3DS, though. :(

I just chuckled because the new Megaman looks like a mishmash of all other Megaman, probably having their powers.

And then I looked at Kamen Rider Decade.

THIS is the 25th Anniversary game

I almost feel like it's a joke, but this is Capcom

I'm laughin' anyway. It's the only way to keep from crying
